Immerse yourself in the elegance of the Bellaria Brunello di Montalcino Assunto 2008, a delight from one of Italy's most prestigious wine regions, Montalcino, situated in the heart of Tuscany. Showcasing meticulous endeavour, this wine was crafted under the adept hands of Bellaria, a revered producer reputed for its quality and commitment to traditional winemaking. Handpicked Sangiovese Grosso grapes were treated to an extended maceration, eventually maturing for 36 months in Slavonian oak barrels, resulting in an exceptionally structured libation. Ruby red in colour, the Bellaria Brunello di Montalcino Assunto 2008 delivers complex and pronounced aromatic notes of spice, ripe fruit, and a dash of vanilla, promising a full-bodied experience. On the palate, it is harmoniously balanced with refined tannins and a persistent finish, making it a perfect companion to hearty Italian dishes and aged cheeses. This sublime vintage, a testament to Bellaria's dedication to excellence, is a collector's gem and confirms Brunello's standing as one of Italy's finest. Indulge in this exclusive piece of viticulture today. |

Vinous (94)Sweet rich, lush and layered, yet also remarkably light on its feet, the 2008 Brunello di Montalcino dazzles from start to finish. Sweet roses, red berries, flowers, mint and orange peel all take an appearance in this utterly impeccable polished Brunello I imagine the 2008 will still be a special wine at age 30. The aromas are naturally still quite primary, so some cellaring is advisable. The brutal August hailstorm took with it a full 40% of the production, but left behind a strikingly beautiful Brunello endowed with seemingly endless layers of fruit and fabulous overall balance. |

Vinous (95+)A wine of remarkable finesse and nuance, the 2008 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva Poggio al Vento is exceptionally beautiful. The 2008 is refined, silky and nuanced, especially within the context of the vintage. Freshly cut flowers, cedar, tobacco and anise are all beautifully delineated throughout. I am quite impressed with how well the 2008 has come together over the last few years. Two thousand eight will be remembered as the year of the devastating mid-August hail. Quite miraculously, the Poggio al Vento emerged pretty much unscathed. |

Jancis Robinson (18)Just mid ruby with broad orange-tinged rim. Lifted, fresh and a little wild on the nose! Ripe sweet cherry with a spiced theme running through it. Crunchy tannin. Great balance and style and unpolished. |
