Il Paradiso di Frassina Brunello di Montalcino 2006 (6x75cl)
I love the decadence and richness here with dark fruits, meat and very ripe plums. Full bodied, with a dense and beautiful palate. Ripe black cherries, with flowers. Such pure fruit. Powerful tannins, yet polished and elegant. Beautiful length. Give it three to four years of bottle age. This is phenomenal and made from organic grapes.

Il Paradiso di Frassina is one of the more fascinating Brunello estates operating today; it’s not one of the bigger names, but it was founded relatively recently and production is small, so notoriety will no doubt come with time. Founded in 2000, the outlook here is to produce classic Tuscan wines with an artistic flair. The Winemaker sees no place for the international varietals which are fast gaining popularity in Brunello so he plants his vineyards solely with Sangiovese.
