Domaine de Chevalier
Domaine de Chevalier is distinctive as one of the few Graves estates that make powerful yet graceful white and red wine. They have been creating one of the best dry whites in Bordeaux for a number of years but their red is just returning to its former glory, reaping the rewards of a bold replanting in the 1980s.

Vinous - Neal Martin (90-92)The 2021 L'Esprit de Chevalier has a tightly wound bouquet of blackberry and raspberry fruit permeated with traces of oyster shell; hints of sea spray emerge with time. The medium-bodied palate delivers graphite-infused black fruit, moderate weight, fine salinity and insistent grip and mineralité on the finish. Classic Pessac. |
