About Massolino
Established in 1896 and now run by the fourth generation of the family, Massolino is undoubtedly one of the great estates in Barolo. Their vineyards have dynamic, chalky soils and sit at lofty altitudes of 320-360 metres, imparting exceptional concentration and complexity to the wines. With vines up to 60 years old, the Massolino family principally grows fruit of the finest quality in the commune of Serralunga d’Alba.

Succulent red and purplish berry fruit, spice and mint come together in the glass. Silky, floral and medium in body, the Parussi captures all of the sensuality that is typical of the Barolos of Castiglione Falletto. Best of all, the Parussi will drink well earlier than the wines from Serralunga will. |

Now, for the million dollar question. Is it better than the 2016? Right now, I give an edge to the 2017 for its greater finesse and total sense of exotic beauty. But time will be the judge. I do look forward to tasting the 2016 and 2017 side by side! |
