Jancis Robinson (17)Cask sample. Top-quality premier cru Puligny. Concentration and power on the nose/palate. Savoury edge, plenty of citrus keeping the palate fresh. Should age very well. Stony finish with an intriguing zesty character. GV. |

Vinous (92)The 2016 Puligny-Montrachet Les Combettes 1er Cru is taut and fresh, showing more vigour and mineralité compared to its showing in bottle last year. The palate is well balanced with good depth, a little creaminess coming through towards the finish with touches of orange zest and dried apricot developing. This has caught up with the Folatières since it lagged behind when tasted from vat. Tasted at Flint Wines Domaine Dujac tasting in London. |

Vinous (89-91)The 2018 Puligny-Montrachet Village comes from the 12 parcels located around the appellation. It offers attractive dewy green apples, freshly sliced pear and hints of mirabelle on the nose, which needs a few swirls of the glass to awaken. The palate is well balanced with orange zest and citrus lemon and hints of lime, all matched with a fine bead of acidity, the 15% new oak neatly folded into the finish. Recommended. |

Burghound (95)Smoky broad-ranging aromas are composed primarily of various white orchard fruit, acacia blossom, citrus rind, wood and a hint of exotic tea. There is an abundance of dry extract that imparts a sappy character to the concentrated, mineral-driven and wonderfully complex flavors that also display a hint of mandarin orange on the strikingly long finish that is Zen-like in its harmony. In a word, fantastic. |

Vinous (91)The 2017 Puligny-Montrachet Champ Canet 1er Cru offers fine intensity on the nose of orchard fruit, touches of orange blossom and crushed stone scents, all quite intense while maintaining delineation. The palate is well defined with a fine line of acidity, and maybe just a little oaky at the moment, although that should be absorbed with time. It just feels conservative on the finish. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting in Savigny-lès-Beaune. |

Vinous (93)The 2019 Puligny-Montrachet Champ Canet 1er Cru has a very attractive nose with enticing scents of nectarine, tinned white peaches, Braeburn apples and a light chalky note. The palate is well balanced with orange pith, apricot and lychee notes on the entry. This Champ Canet has fine depth and good tension, the mouth tingling with spicy residues after it has departed. Excellent. |

Vinous (94)The 2019 Puligny-Montrachet Les Folatières 1er Cru has a little more amplitude compared to the Clavaillon, scents of Granny Smith apples and dewy meadow on a cold morning. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, a little more weight and girth than the Clavaillon, not to mention a touch more salinity and race on the persistent finish. Excellent. Experience the exquisite taste of the Philippe Pacalet Moulin A Vent 2020. This notable wine is created by Philippe Pacalet, a renowned natural wine producer in the heart of Burgundy. Continuing an impressive family lineage of expert winemakers, Pacalet's approach exemplifies traditional methods, blending them seamlessly with biodynamic ideologies. His work reflects respect for the terroir and the essence of the grape, refusing the use of artificial chemicals. Sourced from the Moulin a Vent appellation in Beaujolais, the Gamay grapes undergo a unique process of carbonic maceration. This particular wine showcases Pacalet's remarkable talent in capturing the luscious fruit essence and superb minerality. Each bottle of Philippe Pacalet Moulin A Vent 2020 offers a brilliant ruby hue, captivating aromas of red fruit and an unusually expressive palate. Its elegant tannic presence and reverberating acidity give it a balanced and exciting structure, a true representation of Pacalet's mastery and reverence for nature. |

Wine Advocate (92)From an enclave within the premier cru climat that lost the appellation when the former proprietor brought in topsoil from elsewhere, Girardin's 2017 Puligny-Montrachet Les Folatières is showing beautifully, wafting from the glass with notes of citrus oil, mandarin, pastry cream and toasted hazelnuts. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and enveloping, this is a concentrated, racy and penetrating Pulginy that is well worth seeking out. I suspect that this cuvée will emerge as one of the star attractions of this new estate's portfolio. |

Wine Advocate (95)The 2017 Moulin-à-Vent Les Trois Roches is superb—and likely the king of the cellar chez Chermette this year—wafting from the glass with a beautiful bouquet of raspberries, potpourri, orange rind and rose petal. On the palate, it’s medium to full-bodied, layered and supple, with the most depth and amplitude of any wine in the portfolio and the most held in reserve, too. This is a fantastic expression of Moulin-à-Vent from one of Beaujolais’s greatest winemakers, and it comes warmly recommended. |
