Darker currants, cassis, graphite, and spring flowers define the aromatics of the 2022 Château Dalem. It has a Saint-Émilion-like sense of minerality, a medium to full body, and a layered, pure style that has tons to love. Drink bottles over the coming 15 years or so. I wasn’t able to get the release price, but this wine is almost always a brilliant value.HK$1,595.00 -

Black cherries, red plums, spicy oak, and savory herb notes all emerge from the 2022 Château De Pressac, another ripe, medium to full-bodied, beautifully concentrated 2022 in the vintage that brings ample mid-palate depth, building yet ripe tannins, and outstanding length. Despite all its richness and depth, it holds onto a wonderful sense of freshness and minerality, and I suspect this will evolve gracefully for 20+ years in cold cellars. It needs an hour in a decanter if drinking anytime soon.HK$2,145.00 -

(3x75cl) 2022Vinous - Neal Martin (96+)
The 2022 Lafleur is one that caught me out when blind because it can often be misconstrued as lacking some fruit, when it has a proclivity to shut down after bottling, hence my advice never to broach it until it has 10 years on the clock. This has a ripe nose with redcurrant, cranberry and rose petal scents, black tea and light touches of hickory that emerge with time. The oak is well integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, quite peppery with an underlying bitter edge, quite sustained and again, overtly peppery on the finish. A demanding but quite profound Pomerol. Tasted blind at the Southwold tasting in London.HK$10,500.00 -

One of the more powerful wines in the vintage, the 2022 Château Feytit Clinet brings an almost Petrus-like structure and density as well as a stunning nose of ripe red, blue, and black fruits intermixed with leafy herbs, chocolate, tobacco, and truffles. With full-bodied richness, a deep, layered mid-palate, nicely integrated smoky oak, and a blockbuster of a finish, this brilliant wine should be snatched up by savvy readers. It will ideally be given 4-6 years in the cellar, but you'll be excused for opening bottles now. It should cruise for two decades, if not longer. The 2022 is 88% Merlot and 12% Cabernet Franc, from the Clinet, Latour, and Feytit lieux-dits, aged in 70% new barrels. It hit 14.5% alcohol with a solid pH of 3.75.HK$3,810.00 -
