I loved the 2022 Château Beaumont, a richly textured, medium to full-bodied, concentrated 2022 that does everything right. Darker currants, smoky cherries, spicy wood, and leather-like notes all define the aromatics, and it's nicely balanced, with plenty of mid-palate depth and velvety tannins. Count me in as a fan. The 2022 is 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, and the rest Petit Verdot.HK$1,140.00 -

Deep ruby/plum-hued, the 2023 Château Beaumont offers up a beautiful nose of red and black currants, leafy herbs, spice, and a hint of flowers. From an historic estate in Pomerol dating back to the 18th century, the 2012 Beauregard (70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc) is a successful effort. The wine is dense ruby/purple and shows loads of licorice, blackcurrant and black cherry in a dense, medium to full-bodied very pure, rich style. This is somewhat of a sleeper of the vintage in Pomerol and very noteworthy. This should drink well for 10-15 years.HK$2,280.00 -

Bordeaux's relatively diverse weather, particularly its rainfall, means that vintage variation can be quite broad between some years. However advances in wine making techniques, technology and investment has meant that many chateaux are still able to create very good wines in "lesser vintages". From the best vintages wines are made that are clambered for all over the world and mature excellently for many years.
This is a selection of some of our favourite vintages from Bordeaux over the last few decades, as well some more recent ones.
