Wine Spectator (97)
Displays lemon, honey, mineral, fennel seed and lime aromas. Full-bodied, this fills the mouth with lime, apple tart and vanilla character. Very, very intense. Fantastic. Needs time to come together. The best white from this estate in a long time. Best after 2014. 2,080 cases made. -JSHK$10,270.00 -
Wine Enthusiast (97)
Wonderfully aromatic, this sure-to-be legendary wine offers richness, ripeness, and pure yellow fruits, peaches and apricots, all alongside a structured strain of chalky minerality. It is a wine for long aging, the wood spice just becoming integrated, the fruit still in its first vibrancy. But even now, it fills the mouth with generous fruits, and a great finish of citrus.HK$1,270.00 -

Amazing nose of dried fruits from peaches to apples to mangos. Pink grapefruit too. Full and very powerful white with an incredible length and intensity. It's like a beautiful block of velvet in your mouth. It goes on for minutes. It becomes so mineraly and subtly fruity at the end. Turns just to honey. Wow.HK$1,355.00 -

Grapefruit, lemon, stone and vanilla make the attention-seeking perfume. Rich, fresh and zippy fruits with plush texture and a fresh citrus and spice finish remain with you long after the wine went where it was supposed to go. 93-95 PtsHK$890.00 -
(12x75cl) 2013Vinous - Antonio Galloni (94-97)
The 2013 Domaine de Chevalier Blanc is fabulous. White flowers, spices, mint, grapefruit and lemon peel all meld together in a distinctive wine bursting with personality. The flavors are bright and high-toned, while aging on the lees with a little bit of stirring adds texture. Intense, saline notes support the striking, crystalline finish. The 2013 seemed to get better with each tasting. This is a stunning wine by any measure. The blend is 80% Sauvignon Blanc and 20% Semillon. Tasted three times.HK$8,365.00 -
(1x300cl) 2015James Suckling (98)
Instantly impressive nose with pristine lemons and limes as well as subtly flinty, reductive notes. The palate has power and direction, not to mention impressive yeast lees influence and perfectly integrated oak. Power, impressive tension and length. Drink this young or with some considerable age. It will deliver at both ends.HK$3,150.00 -

This is really powerful and structured with superb muscle and phenolic tension. Yet, it’s formed and polished, layered and dense. Full-bodied, but energetic and focused. Vibrant acidity. Goes on for minutes. Citrus, stone, straw, salt and chalk. Incredible. Try after 2023.HK$4,825.00 -

I loved the 2019 Domaine De Chevalier Blanc, which has the crisp, racy, yet concentrated style of the estate that few others can achieve. Gorgeous white peach, mandarin orange, honeyed minerality, and a kiss of toast all define the bouquet, and it hits the palate with medium to full-bodied richness, integrated acidity, plenty of concentration, and a great finish that picks up some obvious minerality. This stunning juice needs 3-4 years of bottle age and will evolve for 2-3 decades if stored correctly. It's probably the white of the vintage.HK$4,425.00 -
The Wine Independent (98)
A blend of 75% Sauvignon Blanc and 25% Semillon, the 2020 Domaine de Chevalier Blanc opens with very serious scents of preserved lemons, kumquat, cedar, and chalk dust, leading to a fantastically fun undercurrent of passion fruit, orange blossoms, and sea spray. The palate is so, so tightly wound with tight-knit citrus, tropical, and mineral notes wrapped up in a silken-textured, racy frame, finishing with epic length and a whole firework display of minerals. What a fascinating wine!HK$4,275.00 -

Very complex aromas of pears, persimmons, honey and cooked apples. Mineral undertones. Always subtle and multidimensional. Full-bodied with a tight and dense middle palate that gives a superb mouthfeel. It's lively and flavorful at the end but in a reserved way. Just a hint of bitter lemon and lilac. I really want to drink this, but give it three or four years to reach the right place.HK$1,760.00 -

The 2022 Domaine de Chevalier Blanc does not have the bandwidth of La Mission Haut-Brion Blanc on the nose, slightly more malic, though it gains complexity in the glass, with touches of nettle and orange blossom emerging. The palate is slightly honeyed on the entry, a more powerful and sunny expression of the growing season, weighty with a pleasing oiliness and spiciness towards the finish. Tasted blind at the Southwold tasting in London.HK$840.00 -
