On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, lavish and multidimensional, with supple tannins, a dramatic core of fruit and succulent underlying acids. Rounder and sweeter in the mouth, with a palate-saturating flavor of dark cherry confiture. Builds impressively on the ripely tannic back end, with a strong violet note emerging.
