The 2021 Beaune Epenottes 1er Cru has an attractive nose with a subtle stem addition lending a little sous-bois character that complements the red berry fruit. It has more precision and mineralité compared to its peers. The palate is lithe and harmonious on the entry with pure red berry fruit, white pepper and fine grip on the finish. Overall, this is a classy Beaune 1er Cru and deserves a hearty round of applause in the context of the challenging growing season. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.HK$3,910.00 -

The 2021 Volnay Village which includes fruit from Les Lurets and underwent a year long malo, has a simple raspberry and dark cherry nose that just needs a little more amplitude. The palate offers sappy red berries and is quite peppery in style with a bit of sinew on the finish.HK$3,585.00 -

Wine Advocate (90-92)
From the domaine’s 1.5-hectares, the usual 20 barrels was reduced to half for the 2012 Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru. It has an opulent, vivacious bouquet with small dark cherries, blueberry and creme de cassis that is deliriously gorgeous. The palate is sweet on the entry with fleshy boysenberry and bilberry fruit. There is good presence and length here, although it needs just a touch more nuance on the finish. Always a solid performed, this comes recommended.HK$8,030.00 -
