From a parcel located in Charmes, down-slope from Chambertin, this is slightly backwards at present, with a bit of reduction, but behind these aromas there is plenty of sumptuous, bright red berry fruit. The texture is firm and fresh, with the grip and intensity to age well. The delicious, detailed and nicely vibrant middleweight flavors possess excellent depth and persistence on the equally built-to-age finish where a touch of austerity slowly emerges as it sits on the palate.
