(1x75cl) 1999Vinous (93-96)
Deep, saturated ruby. Explosive nose features blackberry, blood orange, minerals and violet. An extremely intense, minerally wine of great clarity and class. Powerfully structured and still an infant. Finishes with big but suave tannins and great subtle persistence.HK$389,225.00 -
Vinous (95+)
Deep, sappy aromas of plum, currant, minerals and smoke, with a compelling earthy complexity. Thick on entry, then youthfully backward and vibrant in the middle palate. A seamless wine that remains light on its feet despite its compelling density and major volume. Finishes with sweet tannins, a note of spicy oak and outstanding persistence.HK$511,445.00 -
Vinous (94+)
Bright, deep red. Musky, slightly reduced aromas of raspberry and minerals. Offers a compellingly silky texture and lovely sweetness but comes across as youthfully closed today, even a bit reduced. But this boasts superb concentration and purity of flavor and a very long, harmonious finish. I'd give this a good eight to ten years in the cellar.HK$496,485.00 -
(1x75cl) 2008Vinous (96+)
Good deep red. Sensational if youthfully subdued nose combines black raspberry, crushed stone, dried flowers, smoky minerality and truffley soil tones. Wonderfully precise and taut in the mouth, with uncanny cut and energy to the dark berry, spice and mineral flavors. Finishes with outstanding backbone and palate-staining perfume. The 2008 vintage doesn't get better than this.HK$741,320.00 -
Decanter (98)
Still very, very closed. Fat, rich and concentrated on the nose. Very lovely, balanced, fragrant fruit. This is very complex and the finish is excellent.HK$1,869,125.00 -

(1x75cl) 1998Vinous (91-94)
Deep ruby-red. Sappy, pure aromas of black fruits and sexy oak. Lush and spherical in the mouth, with wonderful thickness and depth of texture. Blackberry, cassis and licorice flavors are framed by sound acidity. Finishes with superb length and substantial but fine tannins. Structured for a long life in bottle.HK$37,770.00 -

Burghound (94)
(Outstanding) Assertively complex and spicy black fruit nose introduces seductive, intense, big yet refined flavors that completely coat the mouth and rest so long on the palate that this is frankly almost sensory overload. Tannic, concentrated, deep and weighty yet without a trace of heaviness or lack of balance. As good as the Vignerondes but again, the expression is different - the Boudots is perhaps bigger and more concentrated whereas the Vignerondes is silk and elegance. Either way, it's a very high class problem to choose between them.HK$113,415.00 -
(3x75cl) 2015Vinous (96)
Tasted next to the Vignerondes, the 2015 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Boudots is quite a bit fleshier. Silky tannins and soft, racy curves give the Boudots much of its distinctive personality. This is a decidedly sumptuous style of Nuits. Although it is naturally an infant, today the Boudots is absolutely stellar. I loved it.HK$159,595.00 -
Vinous (90-93)
Deep red-ruby. Sappy, slightly reduced aromas of raspberry, dark chocolate and smoke, plus some Vosne-like floral and mineral nuances. Ripe and sweet on the palate; more easygoing in structure and less voluminous than the '98 Leroy Volnay Santenots. Quite light on its feet. Finishes with very fine tannins and excellent length.HK$24,185.00 -
(3x75cl) 2005Vinous (91-94)
Bright ruby-red. Lovely pure aromas of dark raspberry, black cherry, minerals and flowers. Rich and layered but at the same time juicy, precise and penetrating, with enticing dark fruit and mineral flavors and a Vosne-like suppleness of texture. Finishes with superb, perfumed length, with sweet, fine tannins and vibrant, harmonious acidity. A great vintage for this cuveeHK$194,085.00 -
(3x75cl) 2011Burghound (93)
Notes of cassis flowers, violets, earth and plenty of spice leads to medium weight flavors that possess a sophisticated mouth feel as the tannins are extremely fine-grained. There is good punch and delineation to the chiseled, intense and moderately austere finish that is not only exceptionally persistent but impeccably well-balanced. In sum, this is textbook Vignerondes with its refined yet tautly muscular palate impression.HK$111,270.00 -
Vinous (94)
The 2015 Aux Vignerondes is gracious and light on its feet, especially within the context of Nuits. There is quite a bit of power, too, but it is expressed in more of a linear style. Mineral, earth, smoke and cured meat overtones add myriad shades of nuance. Aromatically precise and beautifully delineated, the Vignerondes is another captivating wine in this remarkable range of 1er Crus from Lalou Bize-Leroy.HK$153,125.00 -

(12x75cl) 1997Vinous (88-90)
Good deep red, not as dark as the above. Expressive aromas of black raspberry, minerals, leather and smoke. Brighter but more closed in the mouth, with a mineral firmness. Finishes with fine tannins and notes of mocha and coffee.HK$279,525.00 -
(2x75cl) 2002Vinous (89)
(this and the following wines were tasted at Domaine Leroy) Excellent red-ruby color. Very ripe, musky aromas of black cherry, minerals and licorice, with tarry and medicinal nuances. Fat and full, with an almost liqueur-like sweetness along with a repeating medicinal note. Very solid wine that should show more detail with a few years in bottle. Finishes with substantial tannins and a hint of dryness.HK$78,695.00 -

The 2011 Pommard Les Vignots was bottled December 2012. It has a complex, slightly earthy bouquet with subtle marine influences, defined and focused with hints of black olive emerging with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with fine focus, imbued with an Oriental edge (hoisin) which is folded into a fine silky finish. Drink now-2020.HK$36,690.00 -

(3x75cl) 2012Vinous (95)
It's hard to imagine that a tasting in this cellar starts with the stunning 2012 Pommard Les Vignots, a wine that many growers would be thrilled to have as their top cuvée. Dark, powerful and explosive in the glass, the Vignots is a compelling example of just how rich the wines are in the Côte de Beaune in 2012. This is a decidedly dark, brooding Vignots built on density and volume, with enough tannin to age well for many years.HK$200,115.00 -
(3x75cl) 2014Vinous (93)
The 2014 Pommard Les Vignots is powerful, sinewy and intense, with notable structure and tannin presently enshrouding the fruit. Although the Vignots is often quite approachable - and frankly delicious young - the 2014 is very tightly wound and likely to require at least a few years to come into its own.HK$96,600.00 -
(3x75cl) 2015Vinous (93)
The 2015 Pommard Les Vignots is outrageously beautiful, not to mention a remarkable wine with which to kick off the tasting. Bold and racy, the 2015 exudes a level of depth and textural richness that is frankly hard to imagine at this level. The Vignots is surprisingly expressive, open and giving today.HK$110,850.00 -

Vinous (94+)
Bright ruby-red. Slightly blacker, less exotic nose dominated by dark berries, licorice and minerals. Less lush and more reserved today than the RSV but penetrating, vibrant and gripping. Really folded in on itself and hiding more than it's revealing; less obviously sweet than the RSV. But the long, minerally, very fine finish suggests that this wine will reward a decade or so of bottle aging.HK$101,850.00 -

Wine Advocate (97)
The 2002 Richebourg Grand Cru must surely be Lalou Bize-Leroy's finest wine of the vintage. It has more class than the 2002 Latricières-Chambertin--pure wild strawberry and black truffle on the nose that gathers momentum with each ticking hand of the clock as if to say: You want more? Of course you do. The palate is medium-bodied with filigree tannin. There is great depth here as one expects from a Richebourg, not a powerful grand cru because this vintage was all about the nuance and delicacy, but it fans out wondrously on the finish with crushed strawberry and hints of cured meats. Very long, very elegant, very Leroy. This is an absolute treat. Tasted January 2016.HK$101,915.00 -
(3x75cl) 2006Vinous (96)
Good bright, deep red with ruby highlights. Knockout nose combines cassis, violet, minerals and menthol; this smells important! Sweet and lush in the mouth, conveying a sense of power and force without any rough edges; in fact this is downright spherical. The wine's insidious mineral concentration and rose petal lift give it great elegance in spite of its sheer size. Wonderfully long and sweet on the back end, finishing with explosive flavors of red fruits, flowers and minerals. Wow!HK$1,042,745.00
