The 2022 Musigny Grand Cru does not hold back with a multi-layered nose of wild strawberry, raspberry, forest floor, pain d'épice and a light ash-like scent. Very absorbing and beautifully defined. The palate is medium-bodied with finely chiseled tannins. Impressive depth and grip, as you would expect from a Musigny, with a touch of white pepper and orange rind towards the finish. Very long. It will require 8 to 10 years in bottle, but it's certainly worth the wait.HK$43,520.00 -
(3x75cl) 2023Vinous - Neal Martin (95-97)
The 2023 Musigny Grand Cru has a complex bouquet that just needs a few swirls of the glass to reveal its mineral-driven red berry fruit with hints of marmalade and brown spices. This is really nuanced and engaging, though it is more discrete than the previous vintage. The palate is beautifully balanced with fine but firm tannins to frame it, judiciously spiced with touches of leather and earthy notes toward the finish. There is impressive length and depth to this Musigny, though it will of course require four to five years in bottle. Excellent.HK$10,096.59 -

The 2014 Nuits Saint Georges 1er Cru les Vaucrains has a stylish bouquet with ebulliant red cherry, strawberry and cold stone scents that are beautifully defined. The palate is ripe and sensual on the entry with a keen line of acidity. The tannin here really express the propitious nature of les Vaucrains, imparting impressive detail and precision on the long, sustained finish. Superb!HK$3,390.00 -

Smoke, iron, graphite, incense and blood orange explode from the 2012 Nuits-Saint-Georges Les Saint-Georges. Even with all of its weight, the 2012 remains light on its feet and impeccably balanced. Tobacco, smoke and graphite are layered into the imposing finish. The 2012 Les Saint-Georges is clearly built for the cellar.HK$2,125.00 -

Vinous (90-92)
Medium red. Less fruity and more medicinal on the nose than the Vaucrains, offering complex scents of dark raspberry, dried flowers, mocha and earth. Then plush, silky and fine-grained on the palate, offering lovely floral lift to its raspberry fruit. The firm tannins turn a touch dry with air. (This cuvée is not vinified by Jadot.)HK$815.00 -

Vinous (92-94)
The 2018 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Saint-Georges 1er Cru has a classy bouquet of vibrant red berry fruit, sous-bois and brown spice aromas that gain intensity in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins. A fine-boned, focused Les Saint-Georges with admirable precision and mineralité on the finish. This is a step up from the Les Vaucrains. Excellent.HK$5,540.00 -
Vinous (90-92)
The 2019 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Saint-Georges 1er Cru is precocious on the nose, the upfront, bold macerated small cherries mingling with raspberry jam and elderberry. The palate is all about texture, velvety smooth and very plush, but at the moment the oak completely covers the terroir expression, and I would like to see more complexity and tension on the finish. More terroir needs to come through.HK$3,900.00 -

Vinous (86-88)
The 2018 Pernand-Vergelesses Clos de la Croix de Pierre 1er Cru has a glossy, high-toned bouquet of toasty red fruit that misses the elegance found in some of Jadot’s Savignys. The fleshy palate is medium-bodied with a pastille-like entry and an almost corpulent finish, although I find it a little monotone compared to its peers.HK$1,995.00 -
Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy (89-91)
Pale to mid yellow. This time there are some floral notes to the bouquet, good acidity, a little more oak, lightly buttery, but a lovely balance with some intensity on the mineral side. Tasted: November 2021HK$3,305.00 -
Vinous - Neal Martin (89-91)
The 2023 Pernand-Vergelesses Clos de la Croix de Pierre 1er Cru is actually a step up from the preceding pair of Savigny's, with more precision, finely assimilated oak and a subtle pressed flower element emerging with aeration. This articulates its limestone soil. The palate is well balanced as vibrant, citrus-fresh red fruit laced with orange peel leads to a nicely controlled and quite elegant finish. An affordable introduction to the 2023 Burgundy vintage? Step this way.HK$1,470 - HK$1,795

Vinous (91+)
Bright medium red. Floral and peppery high notes to the aromas of red berries, medicinal red cherry, iron and herbs. Offers very good density and a fine-grained texture, showing a subtle sweetness to its red berry, spice and menthol flavors. Lovely inner-mouth definition and lift here: this wine really showcases the raciness of the vintage. This juicy, fruity but also minerally Rugiens finishes with a very fine dusting of tannins that reach the front teeth and attractive floral lift. Still a baby.HK$3,735.00 -

Wine Advocate (90-92+)
From the southern side of this large premier cru, the 2017 Volnay 1er Cru Clos des Chênes (Maison Louis Jadot) offers up appealing aromas of plums, pomegranate, espresso roast, raw cocoa and spices. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, with good depth and concentration and a broad-shouldered chassis of fine but chalky tannin. This looks promising.HK$2,705.00 -
(6x75cl) 2023Wine Advocate (91-93)
The 2023 Volnay 1er Cru Clos des Chênes (Domaine Louis Jadot) is a particular success this year, offering up notes of sweet raspberry and strawberry fruit mingled with notions of anise and other spices. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and charming, with succulent acids and powdery tannins, it will offer a broad drinking window.HK$3,320.00 -
(6x75cl) 2020Tim Atkin MW (94)
Densely flavorful on the palate, there are mulberries, cherry pits, grilled hazelnuts and a touch of underbrush. The fine-boned tannins chisel the rounded, medium-bodied palate before the perky acidity floods the nicely detailed finish. 2023-28HK$3,440.00 -
Vinous (91-93)
The 2021 Volnay Les Santenots 1er Cru has a very attractive, pure bouquet with shimmering red berry fruit, wilted rose petal and a touch of undergrowth that becomes increasingly floral with aeration. Impressive delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with silky tannins. Sensual and supple, there are no hard edges here, and the finish seems to glide. This will be tempting young, but it has the substance to age.HK$3,885.00 -
Vinous (90-92)
The 2017 Vosne-Romanée Les Chaumes 1er Cru has a well defined bouquet of raspberry, cranberry and bergamot tea, nicely focused and articulating the terroir. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red berry fruit, a fine bead of acidity, gentle grip and an innocuous but refreshing, classically styled finish. Fine.HK$5,455.00 -
Wine Advocate (92-94)
Alluring scents of ripe purple plum, black currant, clove, and star anise mark Jadot’s 2005 Vosne-Romanee Beaux Monts. Smoked and roasted meat flavors ally themselves to dark fruits and exotic spices on the palate, with subtle hints of caramel and vanilla from the oak accenting rather than intruding. This displays a warmer, more obviously rich and opulent character than many young 2005 Vosnes and than nearly any other 2005s from Jadot. Deep, fat folds of fruit persist with spices and low-toned roasted meat into an imposingly long, sumptuous finish. One could enjoy this soon if it does not close up, but it certainly has the concentration and potential to reward at least five years’ patience.HK$19,370.00 -
(6x75cl) 2007Vinous (89-92)
Good saturated, deep red. Slightly high-toned aromas of black fruits and violet. At once supple and minerally, showing sweet fruit but also a firm underlying spine. This very young wine has the structure for a leisurely development in bottle.HK$4,820.00 -
