(1x75cl) 2017Vinous (91-93)
The 2017 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Champonnet 1er Cru is completely de-stemmed and matures in around 60% new oak. It has a very well defined bouquet with more red than black fruit, hints of lavender and pot pourri, vigorous and open. The palate is very well balanced with a lightly spiced opening, quite sappy in the mouth with a juicy and expressive finish. There is a sense of joie-de-vivre in this wine already and I hope that will be translated into bottle.HK$1,630.00 -

Vinous (89-91)
Good bright red. Complex, musky nose offers red berries, smoke, coffee, mocha and game. Lush, supple and sweet, with ripe red fruit flavors currently showing modest complexity. In a softer style, conveying an impression of lower acidity. Finishes with substantial dusty tannins and very good length.HK$20,330.00 -
(12x75cl) 2010Vinous (92-94)
The 2010 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru is all about deep sensuality and plushness in the fruit. Blackberries, blueberries, flowers, licorice and spices are woven together beautifully in this bright, highly expressive Gevrey. The 1er Cru has more than enough stuffing to stand up to the new oak, which is 60-65% in this vintage, lower than it has been in the past. The 1er Cru is made from parcels in Petite Chapelle, Cherbaudes, Bel Air and Champonnets, each of which is too small to bottle separately. Tasted from tank.HK$15,720.00 -

(vinified with 25% whole clusters): Good medium red. Red fruits, spices and warm earth tones on the inviting nose. Creamy, sweet and pliant in the middle, with a touch of stony minerality to brace the red fruit and spice flavors. Not quite as sharply chiseled as it appeared to be from barrel a year earlier but should offer relatively early pleasure. Finishes with thoroughly ripe, refined tannins and excellent breadth and length.HK$7,650.00 -
(3x75cl) 2018Vinous (91-93)
The 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru includes 30% whole bunch and 60% new oak. It has a clean, well-defined bouquet with sous-bois and black truffle aromas permeating the red berry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, fleshy and charming, leading to an elegant, refined, caressing finish. Delicious and probably one of Mortet’s earlier-drinking cuvées.HK$6,535.00 -
(1x75cl) 2012Vinous (91-93)
(aging in 30% new oak, vs. 60% in 2011): Saturated bright red with ruby highlights. Vibrant aromas of black cherry, minerals, violet and spices. Rich and broad but with a light touch; in a spicy, very elegant style, with lovely inner-mouth perfume. Finishes with substantial tannins, noteworthy persistence and a distinct minty reserve.HK$1,685.00 -
Vinous (92)
Bright, dark red. Superripe-verging-on-liqueur-like but with lovely perfumed lift to its cherry, red berry and dark chocolate aromas. Wonderfully dense, sappy, concentrated wine with serious medicinal reserve and surprising framing acidity to its deep core of dark fruit, mineral and spice flavors. As ripe as this is, it does not pass into surmaturité. Finishes with substantial ripe, dusty tannins and terrific length. A splendid village wine with the density and depth to age.HK$5,490.00 -
(6x75cl) 2017Decanter (93)
The five terroirs in question here are Champ, En Derée, Vellé, Combes du Dessus and En Motrot, all of which are on the north side of Gevrey-Chambertin. This is always one of the best village Gevreys on the market, easily as good as many producers' premiers crus. With 15% whole bunches and 30% new wood, this is a balanced, spicy, pithy red with glossy tannins, freshness and stylish oak.HK$5,985.00 -

Cask sample. This sample seems a bit more tired on the nose. But the fruit quality was obviously good. Firm and vigorous and confident with real persistence.HK$5,595.00 -
Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy (92-94)
5 stars. From the northern end of Gevrey-Chambertin, towards Brochon. One third whole bunch and 25% new wood. Glowing crimson purple, a little bit deeper than Arnaud’s Ma Cuvée. The oak shows a little less, this has a superb richness of fruit which remains totally fresh. All in red fruit. No question but this will make some great bottles. Really long finish. Tasted: December 2021HK$6,895.00 -
Vinous (92-94)
The 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin Mes Cinq Terroirs comes from parcels in the north of the appellation with 30% whole bunches. Very impressive intensity on the nose, this is well-defined, crushed stone and citrus scents, the former becoming more prominent with time. The palate is medium-bodied with finely chiselled tannins, pixelated in definition, not powerful but tensile on the steely finish. Excellent.HK$5,035.00 -
Vinous (92-94)
The 2022 Gevrey-Chambertin "Mes Cinq Terroirs" comes from the north of the appellation and includes one-third of whole bunches due to the acidity being lower than the Marsannay. It has a beautiful bouquet like last year, pure with raspberry and wild strawberry fruit, superb mineralité and vigor. The palate is medium-bodied with dark berry fruit, Earl Grey and light tertiary scents, very cohesive with a persistent finish. This should age extremely well in bottle.HK$4,595.00 -
Wine Advocate (90)
From 60-80 year old vines in En Champ, Combe du Dessus (by his cuverie) and several smaller estate parcels north of the village, Mortet's 2006 Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes received 75% new wood, but the evidence has been buried. Scents of rose hip, dark cherry, and indefinite floral perfumes lead into a silken, subtly saline and savory palate that strikes a thought-provoking as well as sensually satisfying balance between elements carnal, mineral, and fruity. This displays the lift and refinement that render so many 2006s charming, and while it will probably hold up well to 5-7 years of bottle age, I can see no reason for long-deferring the pleasure of its company.HK$111,210.00 -
(12x75cl) 2009Vinous (91)
Good deep, fresh red. Lively aromas of black cherry, licorice and menthol. Silky-sweet on the palate, with solid minerality enlivening the black raspberry and licorice flavors. Densely packed wine with lovely emerging perfume of lavender, spices and white pepper. Finishes with ripe tannins. The crop level was a very-low-for-the-vintage 35 hectoliters per hectare due to the high percentage of tiny berries, noted Mortet. A superb showing today for this village offering.HK$20,480.00 -
Vinous (91-93)
The 2010 Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes blossoms onto the palate with an effortless grace that is hard to describe with mere words. There is tremendous depth and richness in the glass, but no heaviness whatsoever. Layers of fruit radiate through to the generous, resonant, yet ethereal finish. This is a stunning wine for the appellation.HK$2,365.00 -
(1x150cl) 2011Vinous (91)
As it often is, the 2011 Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes is one of the highlights in the range. Silky, layered and polished to the core, the 2011 is open and inviting today. Sweet floral and savory notes flesh out on the resonant finish. In 2011, the Vieilles Vignes is all about silk and finesse.HK$2,440.00 -
Wine Advocate (91-93)
The 2015 Marsannay les Longeroies was completely de-stemmed and matured in 20% new oak. It offers darker fruit than the Fixin, perhaps more introspective at the moment with touches of dried herbs and tobacco infusing the fruit. The palate is well balanced with sappy black fruit and fine salinity. There is plenty of energy conveyed by this Marsannay with wonderful precision and freshness on the finish. Wonderful.HK$1,340.00 -

This is attractively fresh and bright with its broader range of aromatic components that include red currant, cherry, spice and soft floral wisps. There is notably better volume and density to the equally delicious medium weight flavors that conclude in a refreshing and naturally sweet finish. This is almost gulpable today yet it has the underlying material and structure to reward 4 to 6 years of cellaring.HK$1,340.00 -

Spicy and ripe. Really dark fruit with a hint of vanilla. Refined rather than open, dry and more spicy/savoury than fruity. Dry tannins and good length. Structured for the longer term.HK$5,165.00 -
