Wine Advocate (94-96)Another tour de force from Lamy is the 2018 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Derrière Chez Edouard Haut Densité, a magical wine that unwinds in the glass with notes of crisp Anjou pear, white flowers, citrus oil, warm bread and smoke. Medium to full-bodied, layered and complete, this searingly intense and assertively mineral Saint-Aubin brought tears to my eyes. Sadly, obtaining even a bottle will require considerable guile and a large disposable income, but what pleasures await the lucky few who will taste this profound white Burgundy. |

Wine Advocate (97)Whether the 2017 or the 2019 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Derrière Chez Edouard Haute Densité is the finer wine will be a fascinating question to debate over the decades to come, but the latter continues to perform brilliantly, mingling aromas of green pineapple, pear and citrus oil with notions of freshly baked bread, toasted nuts and youthful reduction in a compelling bouquet. Full-bodied, satiny and concentrated, it's rich and layered, with a racy spine of acidity, chalky structure and a long, intensely mineral finish. This is a stunning white Burgundy that takes Saint-Aubin to places that no one would have imagined possible a mere decade ago. It's a monumental achievement from Olivier Lamy, one of contemporary Burgundy's greatest vignerons. |

Unwinding in the glass with aromas of pear, peach and sweet citrus oil mingled with notions of honeycomb, white flowers and toasty reduction, it's medium to full-bodied, dense and layered, with huge reserves of concentration and structuring dry extract, bright animating acids and a long, electric finish. This is another masterpiece from Olivier Lamy. |

Vinous - Neal Martin (93)The 2021 Saint-Aubin En Remilly 1er Cru also sports some reduction on the nose like de Montille's En Remilly; however, this seems part of the wine and does not shade the mineralité or terroir profile. The palate is lively and tensile with a citric line of acidity, bright and lemony towards the quite persistent finish. This is a delicious Saint-Aubin that is bursting with energy.
