Moutonne is one of Chablis' finest expressions and the 2019 will be another in a long list of memorable vintages. Although not the final bottling, it is clear that there is great power here, combined with finesse and a lightness on its feet. Savoury, umami, notes on the finish. 5 Star Wine. Mid lemon in colour. A broader bouquet on the nose compared to Clos, as if Moutonne had thought about moving further south, while declining to abandon its Chablis roots. A suggestion of honeysuckle alongside the marine elements. Very skilfully poised on the palate. Fresh and racy at the finish with good flesh nicely tamed. Impressively persistent.
