Vinous (93-95)
The 2022 Meursault Clos Richemont 1er Cru is a dense, opulent white built on texture more than anything else. It is one of the most overt wines in the Boillot range. Orange jam, spice, vanillin, lemon confit and baked apple tart infuse the 2022 with tons of textural intensity. This is such a distinctive wine.HK$7,090.00 -

A fine even lemon yellow. Racy on the nose, not as immediately distinguished as Goutte d’Or but the qualities creep up on you. More linear, a suggestion of salinity., with layers of a pure limestone white fruit, plenty of dry extract affirms Henri Boillot. Very persistent. Drink from 2030-2036. Tasted Oct 2024.HK$8,655.00 -

(negociant wine)) Pure aromas of pineapple and lemon. Thick and plump but with a powerful minerality to the pineapple and wet stone flavors. A generous, tactile '04 that combines outstanding sucrosity with ripe, harmonious acids. Finishes with superb length. I would have picked this blind as a Perrieres. Boillot offered the opinion that 2004 was a great year for Charmes.HK$17,650.00 -

(Outstanding) Here there is enough post-bottling reduction to largely mask the nuances of the more floral-suffused aromas. As is typically the case, there is more refinement but less size, weight and power to the delicious and gorgeously textured medium-bodied flavors that display excellent length on the citrus-tinged finale. This youthfully austere effort will require at least a few years of patience, but it should be well worth the wait.HK$9,925.00 -

(early malo) Very pure aromas of orange and minerals. Juicy and densely packed, with pristine soft citrus and mineral flavors nicely framed by harmonious acidity. Very long and clean; really saturates the palate on the aftertaste.HK$17,925.00 -

The 2018 Meursault 1er Cru Genevrières reveals aromas of crisp green orchard fruit, peach, spring blossom, honeycomb and praline, followed by a medium to full-bodied, nicely concentrated palate that's chalky and structured, built around lively acids and appreciable dry extract.HK$10,480.00 -

The 2019 Meursault 1er Cru Genevrières has turned out nicely, mingling scents of honeyed pears, mandarin orange, paraffin wax, smoke and toasted nuts in an inviting bouquet. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and chiseled, it's bright and chalky, with a long, penetrating finish.HK$6,405.00 -
Vinous (94-96)
The 2022 Meursault Les Genevrières 1er Cru is a complex, dynamic wine. I especially admire its focus. Pear, slate, crushed rocks, mint and white pepper all hover across the palate in a Meursault that marries fruit richness with layers of depth and explosive energy. In other words, classic Genevrières. The 2022 is quite reticent today, but I take that as a positive sign for the future. What a gorgeous wine this is.HK$1,710.00 -

An overtly spicy and pure nose is comprised by cool notes of white peach, pear, acacia blossom and mineral reduction. The middle weight flavors are not quite as concentrated or powerful as those of the Poruzots but they are notably more refined with the minerality suggested by the nose confirmed on the palate and in particular on the borderline painfully intense and persistent finish that is saline almost to the point of being salty. This is textbook Perrières that should age effortlessly for years to come. Highly recommended.HK$53,595.00 -

Poruzots occupies a prime mid-slope location, sandwiched between Genevrières and Les Gouttes d’Or, with an exposition east and a bit north, which can only have helped in 2019. The result shows extremely lively citrus aromas, with almost tropical, exotic, up front tones and a bit of spice from the 50% new oak used for the maturation. The wine has breadth and substance, but there is plenty of fresh acidity that carries it to a long, persistent finish.HK$5,075.00 -

Outstanding This is also quite smoky with its aromas of green fruit, lemon-lime and herbal tea. There is notably better size, weight and power to the broad-shouldered flavors that brim with sappy dry extract that buffers the firm acid spine supporting the clean, dry and seriously long finale. This robust effort will need at least 4 to 5 years of patience.HK$3,545.00 -

Sweet spot Outstanding Top value Notes of smoked hazelnut, poached pear and pretty acacia blossom scents introduce sleek, intense and beautifully delineated medium-bodied flavors that coat the palate on the clean, focused, balanced and beautifully long finale. This could use a bit more depth but overall, this is a first-rate Meursault villages.HK$6,500.00 -

The 2021 Meursault, a blend of five parcels across the village, offers good tension and energy, naturally in the smaller-scaled style of the year. Lemon peel, white flowers, mint and white pepper all grace this attractive village-level bottling from Henri Boillot. - Antonio GalloniHK$4,635.00 -

5 Star Wine. All domaine fruit now, from Les Chevalières, Luraule. Pelles, Casses Têtes, Petits Charrons. Pale to medium lemon yellow. A generous bouquet speaking clearly of Meursault. A broad bench of ripe white apple fruit with excellent energy, good acidity behind, and notable persistence. Very Meursault and quite delicious. Drink from 2027-2034. Tasted: December 2023.HK$4,455.00 -

A discreet hint of post-bottling SO2 does not detract significantly from the otherwise reserved but attractively fresh and quite spicy aromas of both white and yellow orchard fruit that displays a top note of dried flowers. The concentrated, powerful, mouth coating and beautifully textured big-bodied flavors possess dry extract to burn, all wrapped in an explosive, linear and driving finish. Despite the muscle and punch of the flavors and finish, this is actually very, very undeveloped at this early junction and will need every bit of a decade, and perhaps a few years more, to really arrive at its full majority but it should be more than worth the wait.HK$90,805.00 -
(3x150cl) 2012Vinous (94-97)
Slightly hazy due to a recent stirring of the lees. Highly complex nose combines candied lemon, pineapple, menthol, linden tea, ginger and caramel. Thick and seamless in texture and showing a slightly exotic candied quality, but racy acidity gives sharp relief to the intense orange and lemon zest fruit. Really echoes on the gripping finish, showing a whiplash of citrus and saline flavors. These were the latest-picked vines in 2012, along with the Batard and Corton-Charlemagne, but this stunning wine remains just on the right side of surmaturite.HK$82,405.00 -

The 2018 Montrachet Grand Cru is brilliant, unfurling in the glass with scents of ripe oranges, fresh pear, peach, buttered citrus, warm pastry and anise. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, textural and enveloping, with superb depth at the core, lively acids and an ineffable sense of completeness, concluding with a long and mineral finish.HK$15,435.00 -
Decanter (97)
At Boillot they normally make a single, 350-litre barrel of Montrachet, lightly crushing the fruit before pressing in a basket press. The results in 2019 were absolutely beautiful. Ripe pear and fresh flowers dominate the initial attack. On the palate there is a lovely intensity and richness, with a dense, creamy, buttery texture and huge reserves of substance that will keep this wine ageing for years to come.HK$13,475.00 -

1.5 barrels. Fullish yellow with ripe fruit, a touch of bacon fat along with Jerusalem artichokes. As well as the beautiful quality of fruit there is a saline touch. Certainly complex, not monstrously massive, showing more today than the Bâtard but there is correspondingly even more to come. Fresh white fruit at the very finish. Drink from 2030-2040. Tasted: December 2023.HK$15,165.00 -

Mid lemon colour. Discreet but majestic nose. No problem with at all. So many threads on the palate, one greener which lifts it, but the individual fruits should not be singled out – nectarine, passion fruit without excess, a broad base of your favourite apple, lean and sinewy but entirely compelling. The 2022 Puligny-Montrachet Les Folatières 1er Cru is bright, tense and nicely focused. Lemon peel, mint, crushed rocks and white pepper lend notable energy to this wonderfully vibrant, sculpted Puligny. All the elements are so well balanced. Saline notes emerge in the glass, supporting the beautifully persistent finish nicely. This is so attractive.HK$9,587.60 -
Vinous - Stephen Tanzer (93-95)
(4.5 g/l acidity with a pH of 3.09, according to Boillot): Bright pale yellow. Subtly complex aromas of stone fruits, wild herbs, coffee, flowers and saline minerality. Creamy, classy and suave, with captivating flavors of caramel and beurre sale lifted by a brisk citrus element. Wonderfully dense, dry and uncompromising wine with superb lift and a very long, mounting finish.HK$1,470.00 -
Vinous (94)
Outstanding lift to the aromas of lime and crushed stone. Silky, smooth and magically light on its feet, displaying outstanding energy and cut to its lemon, lime and spicy oak flavors. This tastes like it's from another vintage than the Combettes. The bracing, extremely long finish hints at huge dry extract without coming across as phenolic or dry. The crop level here was just 25 hectoliters per hectare, according to Boillot.HK$13,290.00 -
(12x75cl) 2013Vinous (93)
Medium straw-yellow. Musky aromas of peach, apricot and ginger; more soil-driven and less exotic than the village Puligny. Supple, silky and highly concentrated, offering extremely smooth flavors of stone fruits and flowers. An outstanding 2013 with a very long, pliant back end. Boillot describes this as the best wine of the cave in 2013. He allowed the wine to settle in cuve for two months, including a month following the fining, to de-stress the wine, bottling it last December.HK$18,790.00 -
Burghound (96)
A highly restrained nose requires considerable swirling to liberate the beautifully well-layered aromas of mineral reduction, white rose, spice, citrus and a wisp of exotic tea. Like the Pucelles there is excellent richness and detail and much more minerality-suffusing the almost painfully intense finale that is breathtaking in its persistence. This is a gem of a Puligny 1er and in 2016 is a lovely blend of power and finesse. In sum, this is a knockout.HK$2,175.00 -

Boillot's emblematic 2018 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Clos de la Mouchère has turned out brilliantly, wafting from the glass with aromas of pear, hazelnut, dried white flowers, citrus oil, blanched almonds and smoke. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, deep and multidimensional, with terrific concentration, searing levels of extract and a long, mineral finish.HK$16,670.00 -
