A new-comer to the Cru portfolio, this is a classically lgiht and ethereal southern French Rosé with one key, delightful difference, it is wonderfully sparkling, adding a refreshing additional dimension. What's more, it is a brilliant value.

Wine Advocate (96)The 2009 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee du Quet (80% tank-aged Grenache and 20% small barrel-aged Mourvedre from 60-year-old vines) is spectacular. Its dense purple color is accompanied by an exquisite bouquet of boysenberries, mulberries, blueberries and other wild mountain blue and black fruits. Possessing great intensity, a full-bodied mouthfeel and superb purity, it is a singular expression of old vine Grenache blended with Mourvedre. The finish lasts for 50+ seconds, and the wine has a skyscraper-like texture as well as a multidimensional set of aromatics and flavors. This brilliant offering is more evolved and forward than either the 2007 or 2010. |

Wine Advocate (100)The remarkable 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee du Quet boasts a dark ruby/purple color along with a stunning bouquet of spring flowers, cranberries, black raspberries, blueberries, forest floor, incense and bouquet garni. The wine builds incrementally in the mouth, and the finish lasts nearly a minute. This amazingly full-bodied, gorgeously pure Chateauneuf du Pape has everything one could desire in a dry red wine. Enjoy it over the next 20+ years. |

Vinous (93)Opaque ruby. Deeply pitched black and blue fruit aromas are lifted and sharpened by a spicy nuance and a hint of fresh violet. The sappy, sharply focused blackberry and boysenberry flavors show a surprisingly light touch for their power. Closes supple and sweet, with velvety tannins lending shape. This suave wine is round, seamless and extremely appealing now but it has enough depth to ensure a slow and graceful evolution in bottle. |

Vinous (92-94)(aged in concrete tanks for the Grenache and barriques for the Mourvèdre) Deep ruby. Heady, smoke-accented aromas of black and blue fruits, incense and potpourri gain vivacity from a zesty mineral flourish. Densely packed black raspberry and blueberry flavors open up and turn spicier with air. Shows a suave blend of richness and finesse, offering outstanding focus and tenacity, subtle tannic grip and no excess fat. |

Jeb Dunnuck (98)Similarly colored to the classic cuvée, the 2016 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Quet is 80% Grenache and 20% Mourvèdre. It offers a huge, rich, powerful style that never goes over the top and stays balanced and graceful. Currants, toasted spices, caramelized beef, and exotic notes all flow to a massively textured, powerhouse of a wine that has a stacked mid-palate, a bombastic personality, and a great finish. It needs two to three years of bottle age but is an incredible, heady, powerful wine. |

Jancis Robinson (17.5)Smoke, leaf litter, black cherry, very fine, misted tannins. Dry and stately. Lots of structure and not so much fruit power as some other vintages. Lovely expressive nose though – a really delicate example. |

Vinous (94)The 2000 Rouge is an absolute delight. Gently mellowed by the passage of time, the 2000 offers striking aromatic and flavor complexity. Like all of these wines, the 2000 has aged while retaining a good bit of tannic bite, but here all the elements are very nicely balanced. Dried cherry, spice, tobacco, leather and earthiness suggest a wine that is mature, but then the acids kick in. There is a good bit of life ahead here. |

Wine Advocate (93)A singular blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Tannat, 4% Melot, 4% Pinot Noir, 4% Petit Verdot, 4% Syrah and 3% Cabernet Franc, the 2022 IGP Saint Guilhem le Desert reveals a perfumed, complex bouquet of dark wild berries, violet, spices and mulberries mingled with carnal notes. Medium to full-bodied, elegant and balanced, it has a fleshy core of fruit framed by powdery tannins that segue into a long, penetrating and slightly wild finish. This is a moderately weighted, lively rendition of this iconic estate from the Languedoc. |
