The palate is a mixture of Pommard’s structure and the elegance of Volnay, saline in the mouth so that you can feel the saliva flowing. I love the energy and vivid character of this Volnay that will give several years, possibly a decade of drinking pleasure. |

It has a bright bouquet with wild strawberry, red cherries and a faint, almost ash-like scent. It is very well defined. The palate is quite fleshy and rounded on the entry, finely judged in terms of acidity, with a slightly crunchiness to the texture on the finish, just a dab of white pepper on the aftertaste. Probably one of the most overlooked of Lafarge's Volnays - I suggest you don't. |

It has a high-toned bouquet of blueberry and raspberry fruit, and little cassis emerges with time in the glass. The palate is sweet and succulent on the entry and very supple in the mouth, delivering black cherries and blueberry toward the finish. Very fine. |
