Wine Advocate (92)Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting in Beaune, the 2013 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Beaux Monts has a tightly wound bouquet, dark plum and raspberry fruit, a touch of blackberry, the oak nicely integrated although it is staying inside its shell for the time being. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red cherry and raspberry fruit, the tannins finer than I was anticipating, the acidity well judged as it segues into a backward but focused, quite structured finish. Christophe Perrot-Minot's Beaux Monts has very good potential. Tasted September 2016. |

Vinous (93-95)The 2019 Vosne-Romanée Les Beaux Monts Vieilles Vignes 1er Cru has a clean, precise bouquet with bunches of crushed violet filtered through the black cherry and blueberry fruit. The palate is very elegant on the entry, velvety in texture with a precocious yet controlled finish of blood orange infused dark cherry and cassis fruit. This is very harmonious and will be dangerously seductive in its youth, but it clearly has the substance to last. |

Jeb Dunnuck (93-95)The Grenache-dominated (90% Grenache and 10% Cinsault) 2019 Ventoux Silica is a beautiful wine that just screams cool-climate Grenache with its more ruby, almost translucent color as well as perfumed red fruits, spicy, floral, and gamey aromatics, more medium-bodied richness, and flawless overall balance. Reminding me of a grand cru Burgundy with its seamless texture as well as outstanding length, it’s going to benefit from 2-3 years of bottle age and drink brilliantly over the following decade. |

I love its tannins, it has wonderful purity of fruit, and is just loaded with potential. Give bottles 2-4 years, and it should be a treat to drink any time over the following 10-15 years. |
