The 2017 Vosne-Romanée Les Suchots 1er Cru has quite a reticent bouquet at first and demands a lot of coaxing. Eventually it reveals a mixture of red and black fruit, mixed with potpourri and incense. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins, hints of espresso infusing the red fruit, and the 100% whole bunches lending a touch of Moroccan spice toward the long finish.
