Licorice, espresso bean and plum liqueur create the aroma. On the palate the wine is voluptuous, polished and showy, finishing with sweet, ripe, black fruits. 91-93 PtsHK$3,455.00 -

Even more impressive, the 100% Merlot 2015 La Fleur De Bouard Le Plus is a vineyard/parcel selection from clay and limestone soils that was brought up all in new oak. This sensational, full-bodied, viscous 2015 boasts a deep purple color, awesome notes of cassis and black currant fruits, lots of truffle, smoke herbs and meatiness, sweet tannin, and most of its oak covered by a wealth of fruit. It’s a gorgeous wine and I suspect one of the best efforts out there from this appellation. Drink it anytime over the coming two decades.HK$2,135.00 -

The 2016 Le Plus de La Fleur de Boüard is every bit as promising as it has always been. Still in barrel, La Fleur possesses tremendous richness and pure power. Dark red cherry, plum, chocolate, torrefaction, spice and menthol all develop in the glass. I am not sure about the extended barrel aging for Le Plus, but time will ultimately be the judge of that.HK$5,880.00 -

The 2020 Le Plus de La Fleur de Boüard is one of the best editions of this cuvée I have tasted. I am not sure about the extended élevage in barrel, but there is no denying the beauty and purity of the fruit. Black cherry, menthol, licorice, spice and chocolate build effortlessly in the glass. The 2020 is hugely promising.HK$3,665.00 -
