Good medium red. Reticent aromas of black cherry, licorice, mocha, coffee and underbrush. Sweet, fine-grained and intense, with terrific clarity and lift to the flavors of black cherry, crushed stone, spices and mint. Tannins are substantial but smooth and horizontal. The wine's savory, perfumed, very long finish really titillates the taste buds. This will need a good decade of cellaring.HK$18,666.00 -

Bright dark red. Very ripe but laid-back aromas of black cherry, licorice and mocha. Impressive dense and powerful but rather refined for Clos Vougeot, conveying a youthfully medicinal quality to its black cherry, dark berry and licorice flavors. This this classically dry, deep wine is less strict and severe than Clos Vougeot can often be, but it's still more Clos-Vougeot than 2015 in character. Finishes very long and alive, but I still give the edge to its young 2016 sibling today for that wine's charm and elegance.HK$3,910.00 -

Lavalle referred to this as ‘Musigny-Chioures,' a testament to its ability to combine elegance and finesse with power and depth of flavour. The fruit is all destemmed and fermented on native yeasts in concrete, with extraction by a gentle combination of pumping over and punching down. There is a bit more presence than the Lamarche, with vibrancy and tension, yet the wine makes a stunning impression with a lovely purity of red and black fruit and incredibly silky texture.HK$8,300.00 -

The 2019 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru is quite closed on the nose, offering discreet blackberry, raspberry and light violet aromas that you might mistake for a Vosne-Romanée. The palate is medium-bodied with succulent ripe tannins. This is a juicy Clos de Vougeot, a little savory and quite peppery on the finish, which you might misconstrue as a result of some stem addition. Sculpted with Jean-Nicolas Méo's finest chisel, this is a wonderful Clos de Vougeot.HK$10,500.00 -

With 3 hectares, M o-Camuzet is the second largest proprietor in this Grand Cru after Ch teau de la Tour. There's a good chunk near the ch teau as well as a smaller part in Le Grand Maupertui. The 80% new oak stands out now, both with toasted spice lift and lightly grainy tannins. Granted, there's no rush; at the domaine, they don't start drinking this until eight years post-vintage. In time, the robust and concentrated black fruit core will easily absorb the wood. 2028-45HK$16,505.00 -

The 2014 Corton Clos Rognet Grand Cru, which has been part of the domaine since the 1930s and according to Jean-Nicolas Méo was picked a little earlier than usual, has a detailed and mineral-driven bouquet that unfolds nicely in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, crisp and minerally, fine definition with a sustained, lightly spiced finish. Vibrant and tensile, this is a superb offering from the domaine and is highly recommended.HK$3,260.00 -

(this fruit was picked later than the Vigne au Saint and was vinified with 10% whole clusters): Bright red with ruby tones. Distinctly wilder on the nose than the Vigne au Saint, offering scents of cherry, raspberry and animal fur. At once juicier and deeper, displaying terrific flavor intensity and inner-mouth perfume but kept tight by sound underlying minerality. Méo finds this wine less strict than usual but it will still need at least four or five years of aging upon release.HK$12,430.00 -

The 2017 Corton-Perrières Grand Cru has quite a punchy nose, one that wants to be noticed, offering copious dark cherry, wild strawberry and bergamot aromas and becoming ever more floral with aeration. The medium-bodied palate is quite sweet, featuring a touch of fig confit on the entry and candied orange peel lacing the vibrant red fruit. The 10% stem addition lends a little spice on the finish. This is perhaps more expressive than previous vintages I have encountered at this stage in the past.HK$7,795.00
