In acknowledgement of the superior quality of 2002, Moët has released this wine well after the 2003. The decision is fully justified, for this is still young. It is impressive, intensely concentrated, mineral, showing tight grapefruit and apple flavors. Excellent aging potential.HK$5,150.00 -

Pale yellow-gold. A highly perfumed bouquet evokes lemon pith, pear, iodine and chalky minerals. Ripe and densely packed but lively, offering candied citrus fruit flavors and deeper notes of anise and fig. Becomes spicier and stonier with air, finishing with strong punch and lingering smokiness and minerality. More open-knit and overtly ripe that most of the 2002 version, with plenty of depth and the richness and weight that distinguish this hot vintage.HK$4,405.00 -

Just beginning to mature, this balanced, ripe wine is complex, with bright acidity, toast and pear and green-plum fruits. It is rich, with a tight mouse that shows intensity as well as a stylish character. This is a fine wine just coming into its own but well worth aging further until 2020.HK$4,105.00 -

Moët & Chandon's intensely colored 2008 Grand Vintage Rosé is dominated by Pinot Noir (50% or more along with roughly 30% Chardonnay and 20% Meunier) and contains 20% of red wine. It is released earlier than the white counterpart, which is scheduled for the second half of 2016 due to its strong acidity, which chef de cave Benoît Gouez finds "a bit too prominent," though "not as crazy as the 1996 acidity." The color of the 2008 GV Rosé is that of a candied cherry and indicates a nice maturity. Fresh, red fruit aromas on the nose lead to a dry and complex palate cleanser with discreet vegetal aromas. This is a pure, yet still young cuvée that finishes with a stimulating grip.HK$6,450.00 -

This sexy, beautiful wine has the same potency (14% alcohol) as the 2010, which is surprising given the difference in alcohol strengths in these two vintages. Soft, round and opulent, this sexy 2008 reveals lots of white chocolate, espresso roast, Christmas fruitcake, black currant and cherry characteristics in its flamboyant bouquet. Round, medium to full-bodied and lush, it can be enjoyed now and over the next decade. This is a sleeper of the vintage.HK$7,535.00 -

Aromas of blackberries and meat with hints of spices. Full body, with round and juicy tannins. Lots of wood right now but loads of focused fruit too. This is structured and powerful. Needs at least five to six years to come around. Best Monbousquet ever?HK$19,115.00 -

A gorgeous wine, the 2010 Château Monbousquet has a perfumed, complex bouquet of ripe black fruits, white truffle, leather, and savory floral nuances. Beautifully textured, full-bodied, ripe, and concentrated, yet with a light, velvety mouthfeel, it's drinking at point, with another decade of longevity. Drink 2025-2035.HK$14,975.00 -

(1x300cl) 2020Jeb Dunnuck (92-94)
Seemingly a perpetual smoking wine as well as a great value, the 2020 Château Monbousquet is no exception and has a deep, inky hue to go with pure, rich, powerful notes of smoky black fruits, chocolate, scorched earth, and subtle floral nuances. It’s a medium to full-bodied, concentrated, even tannic, yet pleasure-bent beauty I’d be thrilled to drink any time over the coming 15+ years. The blend is 70% Merlot and 15% each of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, and the alcohol is 14.6% with a pH of 3.75.HK$2,020.00
