(1x600cl) 2020Vinous - Neal Martin (91)
As I mentioned in my tasting note from barrel, the 2020 Potensac displays a little more opulence on the nose compared to other vintages. This is certainly true in bottle, though it retains a sense of composure, mainly red fruit laced with tobacco and a touch of leather. The palate is nicely balanced with fine tannins, crisp acidity, just a touch of licorice infusing the mixture of red and black fruit, a welcome tarriness imparting some classic Claret notes on the finish. A fine Potensac.HK$2,405.00 -

(12x75cl) 2016Vinous - Neal Martin (88)
The 2016 Pouget has a well-defined bouquet with touches of dark chocolate emanating from the new oak, although there seems to be sufficient fruit tucked behind. The medium-bodied palate delivers rather sharp tannins, although the finish seems to lack a bit of body and feels somewhat attenuated at present. Tasted blind at the Southwold tasting.HK$3,485.00 -
(6x75cl) 2018Vinous - Neal Martin (90)
The 2018 Pouget, which has been on a good run of form recently, has ample blackberry and raspberry fruit on the nose, touches of potpourri and peony emerging with time and rendering this Margaux quite floral. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins and well-judged acidity. Quite spicy toward the finish, revealing white pepper and just a very slight garrigue and brown spice note. Yep, this’ll do nicely.HK$2,040.00 -
(12x75cl) 2019Vinous - Neal Martin (92-94)
The 2019 Pouget has quite intense blackberry, briary and crushed iris scents on the nose, the new oak well integrated. The palate is very impressive with firm tannins framing mineral black fruit, touches of pencil lead evident on the structured finish. Blind tastings prove that this Margaux has significantly improved in recent years and this will continue that trend.HK$3,325.00 -

Understated but luscious, the austerity of the tannins just starting to really soften up and this is ready to drink with a few hours carafe. Blackberry and red cherry fruits dominate, along with smoked rosemary and fennel seeds, firm muscular tannins, a classic value. 40% new oak.HK$3,105.00 -

The 2019 Poujeaux has a very delineated, focused bouquet of blackberry, cedar, mint and light tea leaf scents, one of the most complex I have encountered from this great estate in recent years. The medium-bodied palate is fresh, vibrant and grippy, with slightly chalky tannins and a saline, persistent finish. Quite structured and broody, this Moulis deserves ample time in bottle.HK$2,912.00 -
