Chavy-Chouet Meursault 2022s
The Chavy family had been making wine in the Côte de Beaune for generations, and Domaine Chavy-Chouet was founded by Hubert Chavy, the 6th generation of the Chavy family. Having married a member of the Ropiteau family, he inherited some prized plots from Meursault, most notably the Clos Corvées de Citeaux monopole. For a long time, Hubert sold most of his production to top négociants until he was joined by his son, Romaric. The 13-hectare domaine is currently managed by Romaric, who worked for his godfather François Mikulski before joining the family domain.
Today, we are pleased to offer the latest release of 3 of the domaine’s village Meursault, along with the super value Bourgogne Femelottes, which comes from 40-year old Puligny vines. As quantities are extremely small, we kindly request that every village wine be purchased along with a case of the Bourgogne Femelottes.

Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy (89)
Pale lemon yellow. Attractive juicy fruit on the nose. Quite a graceful approach, backed by more than adequate density of fruit, lemon scented ripe apples, good length. Classy Bourgogne Blanc from a particularly good site. Drink from 2024-2027. Tasted: October 2023.HK$1,260.00 -

Mid crimson purple. A waft of engaging ripe pinot on its floral side. Engaging full fruit, just the right acidity, gourmand but stylish. “Beaucoup de buvabilité” says Romaric, meaning that this is for drinking, not sipping. Drink from 2025-2027. Tasted: October 2023.HK$2,090.00 -
(6x75cl) 2022Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy (90-93)
Not in bottle. Two plots, one of old vines at the southern end, one at the north, slightly younger and more productive. An elegant and charming bouquet which continues across the palate, with a fine crunchy acidity to finish. May not call attention to itself, but it is fine. Drink from 2027-2034. Tasted: October 2023.HK$4,245.00
