A winery based in one of the most beautiful and awe-inspiring regions in the world, the Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT located in the foothills of the Dolomite Mountains in Trentino, the rise of Agricola Foradori to the cult status it has today is all down to the vision of Elisabetta Foradori.
Elisabetta is winemaker with a similar story to the great Elisabetta Geppetti of Fattoria Le Pupille in Tuscany, having found herself in charge of her family's winery at the tender age of 20 in 1984. Her wines have changed drastically since the early days, where she "brought fame to Teroldego with dark, brooding internationally-styled wines" (EG), and over time she has moved away in a more natural direction with expression of place becoming her main focus. Foradori converted to biodynamics as early as 2002, and was certified in 2009.

It's silky to the core, balancing sweet red fruits and acidity, creating a perfectly harmonious red. The Sgarzon finishes remarkably fresh yet potent and long, with a framing of gentle tannins, and licorice and mineral hints that linger on. The 2021 is quite possibly the prettiest interpretation of Sgarzon to date. |
