Charles Van Canneyt is already a superstar in Burgundy with his hand responsible for the ever-increasing quality and regional pre-eminence of the wines of Hudelot-Noëllat. With the rising star of his own eponymous negociant however, he adds yet another jewel in his crown. The wines are keen and direct with an effortless penchant for grace and cool, collected style. The whites are fresh and exceptionally balanced, while the reds; which include some of the top Grands Crus of Gevrey-Chambertin, are masters of their class.

This is a very good bottle of BezeBuilt well, good red fruit, compote, a touch of woody spice but subtle, nice ripe pleasant tannins. Raspberry, crushed blackberry and cool blueberry and sloe.
