Very silky tannins, a medium body and a sense of refreshment with good acidity. Composed of cabernet sauvignon with touches of cabernet franc and petit verdot. (from 78+ year old vines totaling .31 ha with .125 ha in Charmes and the other .18 ha in Mazoyères). Soft wood is present on the even spicier mix of ripe red and dark currant that is cut with game, earth, humus and forest floor nuances. There is impressive volume and concentration to the broad-shouldered flavors that exhibit good power and muscle on the compact and palate coating finish that goes on and on. This is potentially superb but it is definitely a wine to ‘buy and forget’ in the back of a cool cellar.HK$10,470.00 -

This compellingly dense grand cru really clings to the palate on the very long, ripely tannic finish. A fabulous combination of energy and flesh: this one hit my G-Spot. One for the cellar. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin and very well judged acidity; it is backward at the moment, but so focused and persistent that it will surely mature into an extremely fine Grand Cru. The palate is medium-bodied with chalky tannin, and quite precise and linear. Not a powerful or voluminous Ruchottes, but full of tension and mineralité on the finish.
