The palate is medium-bodied with lovely sappiness on the entry, impressive depth and commendable balance. That Cabernet Franc imparts an attractive pencil lead tincture on the finish that gives it a Left Bank allure. Still, this opulent 2000 doesn't have quite the verve of the 2001. Finishes with sweet tannins and very good persistence.
