This is incredibly well integrated with ripe fruit and super fine tannins that melt into the wine. Precise and beautifully ripe fruit.HK$5,385.00 -
Decanter (96)
Aromatic and abundant on the nose, smells appealing and heady with floral touches alongside ripe red cherry and blackcurrant reflections. Amazing clarity to the fruit profile on the palate with such minerality driving the wine from start to finish. It has spicy tones, liquorice and toast that give texture and depth with acidity keeping things refreshing. Lovely grace. Tannins are fine and provide plenty of grip in the mouth supporting the fruit with excellent freshness and a wet stone character that puts you in St-Emilion. So charming, confident and characterful - lots to enjoy here. First full vintage with new technical director Yann and consultant Julien Viaud. Tasted twice. The 50th vintage at La Dominique since it was purchased in 1969.HK$2,820.00 -

The 2020 La Dominique is every bit as impressive as it was from barrel. Dark and sumptuous in the glass, the 2020 is racy and wonderfully sleek right out of the gate. Dark cherry, gravel, spice, dried flowers and espresso lend shades of darkness to this deep, wonderfully plush La Dominique. Superb.HK$2,730.00 -

The 2022 Château La Dominique might be the finest I've tasted from this estate. Located in the northern part of Saint-Emilion, not far from Cheval Blanc as well as the Pomerol border, with plenty of clay in the soils, it's based on 88% Merlot, 11% Cabernet Franc, and the rest Cabernet Sauvignon, raised in 50% new barrels. Gorgeous darker currant and black cherry fruit, chocolate, leafy herbs, and a Pomerol-like damp earth character all define the aromatics, and it's medium to full-bodied, has incredible purity, silky tannins, and a great finish. It's a gorgeously textured, seamless, balanced Saint-Emilion that already offers pleasure yet has a solid two decades of prime drinking ahead of it. Bravo.HK$5,130.00 -

Sleek ruby red, well judged extraction and use of oak, this is a great quality La Dominique, continuing a run of enjoyable vintages at this property under the team of Gwendeline Lucas and winemaker Yann Monties. Plenty of estate and appellation signature, sweet damson, black cherry, pomegranate and stone fruits, campfire smoke, clove spice and juicy lift, with a lingering, mouthwatering finish. Julien Viaud consultant. Tasted twice. 49hl/h yield. Harvest September 6 to 28, subdividing plots, including leaving the beginning and the ends of the rows for later harvesting. Aged in a mix of amphoras, wine globes, concrete eggs, 50% new oak.HK$2,100.00 -

The second wine of Château La Dominique, the 2019 Relais De La Dominique has a spicy, complex, forward style as well as notes of black cherries, leafy herbs, damp earth, and spice. It's ready to go and certainly delicious, with some of the purity and elegance found in the top wine.HK$1,085.00 -

Wine Advocate (94-97+)
Even better than the Vendange cuvee, and I suspect one of the wines of the vintage, Stephane’s 2015 Châteauneuf du Pape Côtes Capelan is the top wine of the estate and is made from 80% Grenache and 10% each of Syrah and Mourvèdre, raised 70% in concrete and 30% in barrels. There’s under 500 cases of this beauty and it reveals a deep purple color as well as decadent notes of blackberries, blackcurrants, crushed rocks and melted licorice. Full-bodied, thick, unctuous and massively concentrated, with ripe tannin and a killer finish, don’t miss it!HK$3,985.00 -
(6x75cl) 2016The La Fiorita Brunello di Montalcino Riserva 2016 hails from the esteemed Tuscan vineyards of Italy. Expertly crafted by esteemed winemaker, Roberto Cipresso, this vintage's composition consists of 100% Sangiovese grapes, encapsulating rich aromas of dark fruit, spice and earthy undertones. It is the product of meticulous viticulture and hand-harvesting ensures the highest quality harvests.
A defining feature of this wine's process is the extended fermentation period, fostering deep complexity and superior tannic structure. This, combined with ageing for four years exclusively in Slavonian oak casks, lend the La Fiorita Brunello di Montalcino Riserva 2016 its robust yet smooth character, rendering it an exceptional vintage.
The cellar is within the arched splendour of Montalcino's fortress, accentuating La Fiorita's commitment to integrating time-honoured tradition with modern viticulture. Resounding critical acclaim confirms the exacting methods behind the crafting of the La Fiorita Brunello di Montalcino Riserva 2016.

This delicious, fruit-forward, exuberant St.-Emilion is meant to be drunk in the next 5-7 years. Attractive, elegant, round and well-made, it offers copious notes of cherries, plums and dark fruits.HK$2,395.00 -
(12x75cl) 2012Wine Advocate (88)
Solidly made, this deep ruby/plum-colored 2012 (92% Merlot and 8% Cabernet Franc) offers up black cherry and cassis fruit, not a lot of complexity, a generous, juicy mouthful of wine. It is medium-bodied, cleanly made and best drunk over the net 8-10 years.HK$2,070.00 -
(12x75cl) 2013Wine Advocate (78-80)
This wine is light, pleasant and fruity, but diluted. Drink it up over the near-term. La Fleur has been on a qualitative tier of late, but the 2013 is certainly not in that category.HK$2,155.00 -
Vinous - Antonio Galloni (86-89)
The 2014 La Fleur is deep, dense and authoritative in style. A host of black cherries, smoke, mocha, licorice, violets and plums blossom as this pliant, expressive wine shows off its bold personality. Today the tannins are quite overpowering. It will be interesting to see if the 2014 develops a bit better balance in bottle.HK$2,480.00 -

The 2015 La Fleur is forward, open-knit and quite attractive. Hints of cedar, tobacco, mint and dried flowers add aromatic lift and nuance to a core of dark red plum Merlot fruit in this pretty, midweight Saint-Émilion. The 2015 is not super-complex, but it is impeccably balanced. Drink it over the next decade or so.HK$2,505.00 -
