Jeb Dunnuck (96)Even more impressive, the 100% Merlot 2015 La Fleur De Bouard Le Plus is a vineyard/parcel selection from clay and limestone soils that was brought up all in new oak. This sensational, full-bodied, viscous 2015 boasts a deep purple color, awesome notes of cassis and black currant fruits, lots of truffle, smoke herbs and meatiness, sweet tannin, and most of its oak covered by a wealth of fruit. It’s a gorgeous wine and I suspect one of the best efforts out there from this appellation. Drink it anytime over the coming two decades. |

Outstanding sugar-acid-tannin balance contributes to this wine’s many charms on the exhilaratingly long, lively finish. One of the best Brunellos of the 2013 vintage. |

It displays the softest textures imaginable, with a note of cherry herbal tea and salty minerals that create a balanced contrast on the palate. Cool-toned, fresh and unlike any Brunello I've ever tasted, the 2014 leaves me guessing. Where will this go? What will it become? In the end, it's an incredibly pleasurable experience. |

On the palate, gorgeously ripe red fruits are balanced by a mix of saline-minerals, savory spice and zesty acidity, as fine tannin slowly mounts beneath its pretty inner floral tones. The finish is long with a salty-savory twang of minerals and spice, as hints of hard red candies and a bit of citrus lingers over a core of tannic heft. There is so much to like about the 2015, from its classic and earthy bouquet to its fleshy yet balanced palate and totally classic finish. Simply stunning and so pleasurable. |
