Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy (94-96)
Another rich dark colour. Half new wood, but it seems to dominate much less here than it did in the Boudots. There is plenty of substance but the desirable Echezeaux nuances are there too. Give this time to refine and I think it will make an excellent Echezeaux. Drink from 2032-2039. Tasted: December 2023.HK$15,500.00 -

Very bright, precise and open knit on the nose. The fruit is fresh, sweet and friendly for a Nuits Saint Georges. Round and finessed this is a definite buy for lovers of Vosne Romanee but with a touch more tannins andHK$5,300.00 -
Very bright, precise and open knit on the nose. The fruit is fresh, sweet and friendly for a Nuits-Saint-Georges. Round and finessed this is a definite buy for lovers of Vosne Romanee but with a touch more tannic firmness and earthiness.HK$4,800.00 -

Not one of the deeper colours, on the ruby crimson border. A fine, classy, elegant nose, subtle rather than blockbuster. The oak is quite nicely integrated, alongside the fruit which shows more its Vosne-Romanée attributes. A little orange zest, with fair persistence. Drink from 2030-2037. (6x75cl) 2018Vinous (89)
The 2018 Vosne-Romanée Les Suchots 1er Cru has a pleasant nose with slightly smudged raspberry coulis, crushed strawberry and pressed iris aromas. It needs 20-30 minutes for the aromatics to really unwind. The palate is medium-bodied with a fleshy opening as you would expect from a Suchots. Plenty of candied strawberry here, a little peppery towards the finish, though I wish there was a little more tension and Pinoté towards the finish where the oak is not quite in sync with the fruit. - Neal MartinHK$5,695.00 -

The 2020 Vosne-Romanée Les Suchots 1er Cru has an exotic bouquet with hints of prune filtering through the red cherry and cassis notes. Very opulent. The palate is rounded and caressing, plush and quite decadent. The 40-50% new oak is nicely integrated, though I would like to see more precision on the finish.HK$6,875.00 -
(6x75cl) 2021Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy (91-94)
A sound mid crimson to purple colour. The bouquet indicates some depth and a savoury complexity. There is a good backbone to this, a little oak, then the fruit returns behind with a fine long finish in quite a graceful style. Drink from 2026-2033.HK$8,190.00 -
Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy (92-94)
A full dark purple, again bolstered by the barrel. Dark fruit, which maintains an even presence across the palate. This one does not fade in the middle as some Suchots can do. A fine long balanced finish. Drink from 2030-2037. Tasted: December 2023.HK$7,450.00 -
(6x75cl) 2023Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy (92-95)
Two plots higher and lower, just assembled at the recent racking. Mid ruby purple. Just a little bit of reduction on the nose. Darker fruit behind, notable salinity, a few well refined tannins, and fair persistence. Drink from 2030-2036. Tasted Dec 2024.HK$5,290 - HK$6,465

The 2020 Vosne-Romanée Village has a lively bouquet with dark cherry fruit, hints of fig and damson, though I would never describe it as over-ripe. There might be just touch of brettanomyces here. The palate is medium-bodied with ripe tannins, quite rounded and voluminous in the mouth with a soft landing on the finish. Packed full of flavour, this will be easy to drink in its youth.HK$3,995.00 -
Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy (88-91)
Crimson to purple in colour, with quite an attractive spicy touch alongside the fruit. More punch through the middle than the Chambolle with a slightly meaty savoury note to finish. Drink from 2025-2030.HK$3,830.00 -
(6x75cl) 2023Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy (90-92)
A slightly lighter ruby purple, with a sense of greater finesse compared to the Nuits-St-Georges. This is nonetheless a predominantly clay based Vosne. Plenty of a softer red fruit in this wine, relatively floral, with a useful counterpoint of acidity and notable persistence. From Les Ormes, Vigneux and a small bit of Communes. Drink from 2028-2033. Tasted Dec 2024.HK$3,610 - HK$4,415

Jeb Dunnuck (94)
The 2020 Barbaresco Faset expresses a more amplified personality, with aromas of licorice, cracked peppercorn, leather, and raspberry liqueur. Angular and medium bodied, it has snappy notes of sour cherry and turned soil, with ripe tannins. I would hold off another 6-12 months and drink 2025-2037.HK$2,315.00 -

Spicy and elegant, the 2020 Barbaresco Reyna is noted with cinnamon, wild raspberry, and cedar. This approachable, medium-bodied red offers fine tannins, ripe red berries, fresh apricot, and a clean finish with good length. I like its graceful and classic feel, and it can be enjoyed now or over the next 8-10 years.HK$2,690.00 -

(6x75cl) 2013Wine Advocate (93)
This wine shows beautiful results in this vintage. Nebbiolo loves a long growing season, and that's exactly what it got in this year. The 2013 Barolo Cannubi is a delicately nuanced wine with blue flower aromas of violets and pressed rose followed by dried berry, spice, licorice and white truffle. You'll really enjoy those unique Cannubi aromatic characteristics in this balanced and elegant wine.HK$5,390.00 -
Vinous (88-90)
Medium color. Fruit driven aromas of plum, raspberry, licorice, pepper, mint and earth. Tight and high pitched; primary and backward, with moderate ripeness. Seems rather high in acidity.HK$5,065.00 -
Vinous (90+)
Good ruby-red color. Deep, highly aromatic nose combines crystallized cherry, roasted meat, violet, cinnamon, tobacco, eucalyptus and underbrush. Juicy but still rather tight, even tart-edged, with a restrained sweetness. Rather dominated by its acidity today, but already offers enticing inner-mouth perfume of black cherry and violet. Slow-building, long finish suggests that this firmly structured, sharply delineated Barolo will develop well with six to eight years of bottle aging.HK$5,375.00 -
Vinous (88)
The 2017 Barolo Cerequio is a powerful, dark wine. Black cherry, mocha, leather, cloves and licorice bring out darker shades of Nebbiolo character. Huge tannins clamp down on the finish, limiting the wine's expressiveness. This is an especially brooding wine from Cerequio, a site where Barolos tend to be more finessed.HK$4,430.00
