Lastly, there are a tiny 532 magnums of the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Triniceros, a blend put together by famed consultant Michel Rolland. It's possibly closest in style to the Plyspline release and has incredible dark fruits (cassis, currants) as well as notes of graphite, toasted spice, chocolate, white flowers, and lead pencil shavings. A wine that builds incrementally on the palate, it has ripe, velvety tannins, an expansive texture, fabulous mid-palate depth, and the balance and class to drink well today yet also evolve for 20-30 years.HK$62,745.00 -

Jancis Robinson (17.5)
Barrel sample. More obvious citrus and creamy oatmeal on the nose than on the Bienvenues, less stony. More obvious oak. Sinewy and fresh on the palate, tense rather than rich, tight and long. Chewy texture on the finish combined with lovely freshness and length.HK$24,815.00 -
Vinous (94-96)
The 2019 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru conveys much more terroir expression on the nose, offering chalk dust and wet limestone aromas; great intensity here. The taut, fresh palate is very well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, a mineral-driven finish and commendable persistence. This is a step above the Bienvenues this year and it should age with style. Bon vin!HK$20,710.00 -
Tim Atkin MW (97)
This is an about-face from the Bienvenue-B tard-Montrachet. It is unapologetically creamy and sumptuous with a near gluttonous concentration of lushly ripe orchard fruit accompanied by cinnamon dusted banana bread. Yet, there is a strong current of bustling acidity providing refreshment. These vines were planted in 1985 and 1997 and purchased by Faiveley in 2008. 2025-40HK$18,780.00 -
Vinous (92-94)
The 2021 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru is more backward and surly than the Bienvenues at this stage, less "welcoming". The palate is well balanced with a tangy entry, orange rind and lemon peel, touches of grapefruit towards the finish, though the Bienvenues has more cohesion. Still commendable given the season.HK$15,000.00 -
James Suckling (97-98)
Mind-blowingly deep and subtle nose of stone fruit with citrusy nuances. All the density of Batard, but with such elegance at the extremely long, focused finish. Great potential! From old vines purchased in 2008.HK$15,000.00 -

(3x75cl) 2023Wine Advocate (94-96)
The soils here are stonier and faster draining, and the 2023 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru is denser and more unctuous than the Bienvenues. Exhibiting notes of pear, lime zest, toasted bread, white flowers and hazelnuts, it's full-bodied, deep and concentrated, with broad shoulders and plenty of structuring extract.HK$10,720 - HK$13,100

(6x75cl) 2020Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy (88-91)
Bright purple, lots of energy, blacker centre. Solid dense bouquet without much detail as yet. Very intense, extremely juicy but not too wild, certainly very ripe but has managed to maintain discipline. Tasted: November 2021HK$3,235.00 -

(6x75cl) 2017Vinous (92-94)
The 2017 Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru comes from a parcel acquired in 2008, a half-hectare parcel of around 13 long rows that stretches from the top to the bottom of the Grand Cru and actually continues into the Bâtard-Montachet. This has a well-defined, wet limestone-scented bouquet that feels very focused. The balanced palate displays neatly integrated oak (although there is now no new wood) and a tender, effervescent, sherbet-tinged finish. Excellent.HK$17,945.00 -

(6x75cl) 2021Vinous (94-96)
The 2021 Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru has such an expressive and vivacious nose that positively leaps out of the glass. In fact, if you just imagine a neon plus sign, that probably expresses the aromatics better than anything else. Happy at its survival after the frost? The palate is very well balanced with grace and poise, Williams pear mixed with white peach, tensile on the citric finish. Excellent.HK$23,520.00 -
Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy (94-97)
Mid lemon yellow. Some delicacy, without disputing the imminent power. A pure bench of fresh white fruit, actually this is more about nuances than power, though it maintains energy all the way through, to a fine long finish. Love the tension, and the finesse, while some other versions may be more intense. Drink from 2030-2038. Tasted: October 2023.HK$17,875.00 -

(12x75cl) 1996Vinous - Stephen Tanzer (91-95)
Deep ruby-red. Stubbornly backward, smoky nose. Firm, tight, and wrapped up in its own structure today. Showing less texture today than the Mazis. But spicy and sharply delineated. Finishes with superb length and a firm tannic spine. This will require a good eight to ten years of cellaring. From grapes harvested on October 4, with 12.6% potential alcohol.HK$35,355.00 -
Vinous - Stephen Tanzer (93-95)
Bright full ruby-red. Explosive nose combines cherry, raspberry, minerals, flowers and game; at once expressive and cool. Fat, thick and stuffed with fruit; offers an uncanny combination of sheer volume and texture and great elegance. Finishes with extremely suave tannins and great resounding length and sweetness. This may turn out to be as strong as the outstanding '98.HK$40,295.00 -
(12x75cl) 2000Vinous - Stephen Tanzer (90-92)
Medium red. Highly perfumed aromas of raspberry, rose petal, violet and minerals. Complex, classy and pure, with a lovely combination of fruits, minerals and flowers. A bright, pristine wine with silky sweetness. Finishes very long, with round, thoroughly enrobed tannins. Has the spine to develop slowly in bottle.HK$58,695.00 -
(12x75cl) 2001Vinous (91-94)
Deep, bright red. Subtle, soil-inflected aromas of raspberry, minerals, tobacco and rose petal. Lush, thick and fat, with compelling flavors of musky, sappy berries. The silkiest of these young 2001s today. Finishes with chewy but very smooth tannins and slow-mounting, palate-saturating flavor.HK$33,590.00 -
Vinous (91+)
Medium red. Sappy, youthfully medicinal flavors of raspberry and black cherry; slightly reduced. Concentrated and powerful but a bit musclebound today, finishing with a tannic toughness. But this has terrific energy and noteworthy length. I'd sock it away for a decade.HK$10,835.00
