The 2023 Le Clarence de Haut-Brion is quite the powerhouse. Ample and potent to the core, Le Clarence is a standout. Black cherry fruit, mocha, gravel, incense, licorice and chocolate fill out the wine's ample, full-bodied frame. Even with all of its natural intensity, Le Clarence is quite polished in its tannin profile.HK$1,445.00 -

The 2016 Clémentin de Pape Clément is a gracious red, but also a bit light and ethereal. I would prefer to drink it over the next few years, while the wine retains its attractive, perfumed personality.HK$2,235.00 -
Jeb Dunnuck (91)
Moving to the reds, the 2019 Clementin De Pape Clement sports a deeper ruby/plum color as well as solid Graves character in its notes of smoky tobacco, chocolate, earth, and both red and black fruits. Nicely textured, medium to full-bodied, and bringing plenty of fruit and texture, it's well worth seeking out, and I'd happily drink a bottle any time over the coming 10-12 years, if not longer.HK$1,205.00 -

The 2021 Le Clémentin de Pape Clément is terrific. Silky tannins and bright, effusive aromatics grace this mid-weight second wine from the château. Hints of spice, gravel, tar, mocha, torrefaction and incense add layers of nuance, but the Clementin is a wine to appreciate for its charming, up-front personality. The 2021 is beautifully done. Tasted three times.HK$1,550.00 -

The 2019 Clementin De Pape Clement Blanc would be great for readers looking for an introduction to outstanding Bordeaux Blanc, as well as the white of this estate. Giving up pretty pineapple, orange, and citrus fruits, it's medium-bodied, has a supple, rounded mouthfeel, good freshness, and a great finish. Drink it over the coming 2-3 years.HK$2,000.00 -

(6x75cl) 2020Le Clos Jordanne Le Grand Clos Pinot Noir 2020 is a quintessential expression of Burgundian elegance from the esteemed Clos Jordanne vineyard in Gevrey-Chambertin. Meticulously handcrafted by the renowned producer with sustainable viticulture practices, this Pinot Noir embodies the terroir's unique minerality and finesse. Dark ruby/purple, with sweet black cherry and blackcurrant fruits as well as some dusty earthiness, this medium-bodied wine displays light to moderate tannin. Drink it over the next 5-8 years.HK$2,995.00 -
Wine Enthusiast (93)
92-94 Barrel sample. A wine obviously for aging, with its severe tannins and very mineral character. It is dark, brooding, solidly ripe and powerful, with a great waft of final juiciness.HK$3,475.00 -
Wine Enthusiast (93)
92-94 Big and tannic, very firm and tough. Yet all the fruit is there, offering great potential. There is a ripe, juicy aftertaste. Under the same ownership as Château Léoville-Poyferré in Saint-Julien.HK$2,990.00 -
Vinous - Antonio Galloni (90-92)
The 2014 Le Crock is soft, voluptuous and quite expressive, with the fruit pushed forward and silky tannins to round things out. Today, the flavors are quite primary, but it is the wine's textural harmony and overall balance that stand out most. Hints of plum, crème de cassis, cloves and new leather meld into the inviting finish. Even with all of its richness, the 2014 Le Crock preserves lovely freshness and perfume. The blend is 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 39% Merlot, 8% Petit Verdot and 3% Cabernet Franc.HK$3,345.00 -
(12x75cl) 2016Vinous - Antonio Galloni (92)
The 2016 Le Crock is a very pretty, fruity wine that will drink well with minimal cellaring. Bright red cherry and plum fruits are nicely pushed forward in this mid-weight, gracious Saint-Estèphe. All the elements are very nicely balanced. Floral overtones add to the wine's considerable appeal. In 2016, Le Crock is pliant and supple, both of which make it an absolute joy to drink now and over the next handful of years.HK$3,535.00 -
Vinous - Neal Martin (90)
The 2017 Le Crock, always an unfortunate name, is a de facto delicious Saint-Estèphe that will appeal to those seeking a denser, more fruit-driven style in this vintage. It has not really changed since I tasted it from barrel with copious blackberry and raspberry coulis scents on the nose. The 25% new oak is nicely integrated. The palate is weighty and muscular for this vintage with black fruit laced with cedar and hoisin, just a little headiness on the finish. Personally I would afford it another three or four years in bottle.HK$3,260.00 -
Vinous - Antonio Galloni (92)
The 2018 Le Crock offers plenty of Saint-Estèphe character in its brambly red berry fruit and burly, but well-balanced tannins. Cedar, tobacco, smoke and earthy notes add quite a bit of aromatic presence. This is an especially rich, potent edition because of dry, warm east winds that caused dehydration, thereby lowering yields. There is plenty of personality here.HK$3,605.00 -

Delivers confident St Estèphe tannins and swagger together with a gourmet richness that is pretty irresistible. Great quality, with liquorice, turmeric, cinnamon spice, along with damson and black berry fruits, wrapped up in cocoa bean and smoked oak pleasure. One to look out for, from the same owners as Léoville Poyferré in St Julien.HK$3,105.00 -
(12x37.5cl) 2020Vinous - Antonio Galloni (93)
The 2020 Le Crock is dense, rich and super-concentrated. It’s a style that works so well for this wine. Ripe red plum, tobacco, cedar, mint, dried herbs, blood orange and white pepper all run through this gorgeous, wonderfully inviting Saint-Estèphe. Savory and earthy notes frame the finish very nicely. The 2020 is an absolute delight.HK$1,485.00
