This is a luxurious and noble Beaune with very good acidity. The deep, dark raspberry fruit absolutely fills the palate, the tannins still need to refine with the second half of the elevage but the finish promises a very fine wine. Drink from 2030-2038. Concentrated, as yet undeveloped, an attractive greener touch to the fruit further back, complex and well worthy of its grand cru status. Very long finish. Drink from 2030-2038. Tasted Oct 2024. |

I still haven’t understood just why this vineyard should make such opulent, creamily textured wines. The oak is for me just a little bit too present but it should sort itself out after a light bentonite fining and filtering. Good acidity. Plenty of wine to work with here! Drink from 2029-2036.
