South Australia | 1 | 92 (VN) | HK$1,605.00
Vinous (92)Full ruby. Deep, smoky aromas of blackcurrant, dried rose and cracked pepper, with a slow-building herbal quality. At once juicy and smooth, with intense red fruit compote flavors over a firm mineral underpinning. Finishes spicy and long, with supple tannins arriving late and adding gentle grip. Drinking well right now but this should be even better with a couple more years of bottle age. This was aged in 85% new French oak. |

Wine Advocate (98)The exquisite 2006 Syrah Piggott Range is more structured yet. Thick, dense, and tightly wound, all the components are there for future greatness. Only patience is required. |

Vinous - Antonio Galloni (92)The 2018 Clarke is a potent wine. A blast of dark red cherry fruit, iron, smoke, grilled herbs and menthol makes a strong opening statement. Readers should plan on being patient, as the 2018 is going to need a number of years to soften. Even so, it is pretty impressive today. Cedar, leather and game add aromatic nuance, but Clarke is ultimately a pretty rich, potent Listrac that just needs time. The only question is how much. |

Bordeaux | 19 | 91 (VN (NM)) | HK$1,840.00
Vinous - Neal Martin (91)The 2020 Clarke has a classically-styled bouquet with strict blackberry, graphite and mint aromas that might lead you towards Pauillac instead of Listrac. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, well balanced with a fresh line of acidity. The oak is neatly assimilated on the finish that feels smooth and enticing. This is an excellent Château Clarke. |

James Suckling (94)Perfumed on the nose with spiced apples, lemon rind, sesame, fresh leaves and mild spices as well. Medium-bodied with crisp acidity. Vertical and succulent with lots of lemony character at the center. Lively with a well-rounded texture at the edges and a spicy, flinty finish. From biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification. Drink or hold. |

Wine Advocate (93)The 2016 Anjou Violette is deep, intense, very pure and elegant on the harmonious nose, with perfectly ripe dark and red berry aromas (blackcurrant) intertwined with floral aromas. Silky, finessed and fresh on the palate, this is a very delicate and charming blend of Cab Franc (two-thirds 45-year-old vines) and Cab Sauvignon (one-third 65-year-old vines) with perfectly ripe, concentrated but juicy fruit, a velvety and concentrated texture, very fine and crunchy tannins and enormous intensity, thanks to the low-yielding Cabernets. This is a beautifully finessed and silky-textured Anjou that reveals its concentration and depth only on the finish. The wine was aged in barrels for 18 months and then spent another six months in vat. Bottled in April 2017. |

Burgundy | 1 | 88-89 (VN) | HK$995.00
Vinous (88-89)The 2012 Bourgogne is wonderfully supple, radiant and expressive. Dark red cherry, plum and spice notes are all fused together in a gorgeous Burgundy that captures the essence of the Dugat house style and the pure texture that is the signature of these wines. |

Vinous (85-87)The 2018 Bourgogne Rouge had been sulfured the day prior to my visit in November. Raspberry and cranberry fruit on the nose. The medium-bodied palate offers spicy black currant and strawberry fruit and a peppery finish. Fine. |

Burgundy | 1 | 85-87 (VN) | HK$5,415.00
Vinous (85-87)The 2021 Bourgogne Rouge has a pretty red cherry and kirsch scented bouquet that unfolds with gusto. The palate is defined by tart red cherries and strawberry fruit, light but it gains concentration towards the finish. Fine. |

Burgundy | 1 | 96 (VN) | HK$44,090.00
Vinous (96)The 2020 Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru could well turn out to be Dugat's finest cuvée this vintage. The nose rivets your feet to the spot with its intense oyster shell tinged red fruit that feels more composed compared to the Charmes. The palate is medium-bodied with filigree tannins, tensile and brimming with energy. There is a discrete crescendo towards its harmonious, transparent and lingering finish that you just don't want to end. Quite brilliant. |

Burgundy | 1 | 96-98 (VN) | HK$9,130.00
Vinous (96-98)The 2021 Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru has a beguiling bouquet with perfumed wild strawberry, cranberry and crushed stone scents, gradually revealing pressed flower aromas with aeration. Multifaceted and vigorous, yet classy. The palate has unerring symmetry, perfectly pitched acidity and seamlessly integrated oak, a discrete crescendo towards a wonderfully proportioned and persistent finish. Everything you could wish for from a Chapelle-Chambertin (and more). |

Vinous (93+)Full red-ruby. Sexy aromas of blackberry, blueberry, licorice, minerals and violet. Wonderfully precise and vibrant, with terrific cut to its intense flavors of dark berries and violet. But this infant is still youthfully tight and bound-up. A bit rounder on the back end, finishing with excellent grip and length and a lingering hint of licorice. |
