Vinous - Neal Martin (92)The 2020 Château de Camensac has an attractive nose with ample red berry fruit, brown spices, cedar and light earthy aromas. The Merlot is very expressive here (47% of the blend). The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins and very well judged acidity. This is classic Haut-Médoc, cool and refined with a saline finish that gets the saliva flowing. One of the best wines from the estate in recent years. Highly recommended. |

Vinous - Antonio Galloni (89-91)The 2020 Chantegrive is quite expressive in this tasting. Raspberry jam, gravel, savory herbs and pencil shavings abound. Powerful and driving in the glass, with tons of backing energy, the 2020 is a terrific wine in the making. |

Bordeaux | 6 | 87 (VN (NM)) | HK$2,660.00 | |||||
Vinous - Neal Martin (87)The 2020 Château de Ferrand has retained its "breezy" bouquet with upfront, red cherries, raspberry coulis and floral scents; orange zest is hiding in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannins. As I found previously, it feels a bit rigid and needs more flair on its briny finish. Not bad at all, but I feel this could have been better. |

Vinous - Neal Martin (92)The 2020 Château de France has an absolutely delightful nose: blackberry and bilberry fruit, black olives and subtle spicy scents. Very focused and very composed. The palate is very well balanced with finely-sculpted tannins, well-judged acidity, fine weight and a precise finish that deserves a light round of applause. Maybe the finest wine that I have tasted from the estate. |

Vinous - Antonio Galloni (89-91)The 2020 La Cour d'Argent is a terrific Bordeaux Superieur. Black cherry, chocolate, dried herbs and leather lend striking energy to this flavorful Merlot-based red. Incisive tannins need time to soften, but there is enough sheer density to make me think that all the 2020 requires is patience. This is an impressive effort from Denis Barraud. Tasted two times. |

Vinous - Antonio Galloni (89)The 2020 de La Rivière is a rich, heady wine, just as it was en primeur. Blackberry, chocolate, espresso, sweet spice, leather and dried herbs are front and center. This deep, brooding Fronsac has a ton to offer in a bold, pleasantly rustic style. |

Vinous - Neal Martin (90)The 2020 Château de Lamarque has a tightly-wound bouquet with cedar-infused black fruit, touches of charred wood in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with nice sapidity, more compact than expected. Rather intense with fine tension towards the sapid finish. Give it time. |

Vinous - Antonio Galloni (87-89)The 2020 Pitray is a soft, fruity Côtes de Castillon to drink young, while the fruit remains vibrant. Juicy red/purplish berry fruit, sage, mint and dried herbs finish with pretty savory accents that are just shy of vegetal. |
