Ultimately silky and classy wine, with a long, clinging finish that shows continuing spice character. This needs a good eight to ten years of bottle aging. |

Towards the north of the Cote de Nuits, the chalky soils found in Chambolle Musigny can be credited for the signature elegance of these renowned wines. Although they might be lighter in colour and tannins, red wine from Chambolle does not lack for the purity and intensity of its fruit. The pinnacle of all of these qualities can be certainly be found in the two Grand Cru vineyards located in Chambolle, Musigny and Bonnes Mares.
