Wine Advocate (93)Tasted blind, this was also a very strong showing for Pillot's 2015 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Caillerets. Aromas of lemon oil, mandarin and nutmeg mingle with hints of petrol and crushed chalk in a complex bouquet, introducing a medium-bodied, tense and stony wine with racy acids and a mouthwatering, unmistakably stony finish. |

Vinous (97-99)(just one new barrel out of seven): Dark red with ruby tones. Essence-of-Burgundy perfume of raspberry, white pepper, cardamom, Cuban tobacco, coffee and underbrush. Outrageously dense and intense on entry, then brilliantly delineated, penetrating and sweet in the middle palate, with its tangy red berry and earth flavors enlivened by building notes of menthol, rose petal and Oriental spices. With its uncanny energy and complexity and its unflagging finishing thickness, this noble, electric wine has all the elements for greatness. (And I could drink it today for its perfect balance and digestibility!) |

Burgundy | 1 | 89-92 (BH) | HK$6,800.00
Burghound (89-92)A ripe and fresh but markedly more restrained nose speaks of liqueur-like red cherry aromas that display added breadth in the form of anise, lavender and rose petal. The middle weight flavors possess a caressing mouth feel before terminating in a lacy, detailed and highly complex finale. The significant amount of 1er juice is evident and this is lovely and very Chambolle-esque in character. |

Vinous (95)Full dark red. Pungent scents of raspberry, crushed rock and rose petal. At once silky, sappy and savory, conveying a captivating light touch and terrific inner-mouth tension to its sharply delineated red raspberry, pomegranate and crushed-rock flavors. Finishes with compelling mounting perfume and saliva-inducing briskness. Not at all a fleshpot for the vintage, this classy Charmes-Chambertin struck me as rather Chambolle-like. |

Wine Advocate (95-97)The 2015 Mazoyères-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes Grand Cru has the most vivacious and intense bouquet amongst Christophe's 2015s, billowing red and dark cherries, creme de cassis, crushed violets and blood orange. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin and extremely well-judged acidity. As such, there is outstanding focus here and a sense of precision running all the way through to the finish. This is a seriously fine Mazoyères-Chambertin that must rank as one of the best this domaine has produced. |

Cultivated in the region of Gevrey-Chambertin in the heart of Burgundy, it is composed entirely from Pinot Noir grapes. Vinous (88)Dullish medium red. Lovely spicy lift to the aromas of red berries and menthol. Juicy and energetic, offering good cut to the flavors of red fruits, spices and peppery herbs. As much a whole-cluster wine as a Nuits-Saint-Georges but juicy and fun to drink, and with no shortage of texture or material. Finishes with nicely buffered dusty tannins and lovely floral persistence. Very refreshing wine. |

Vinous (94)Very pale color. Very expressive aromas of pineapple, menthol, crushed stone and white flowers; more open than the Meursault Les Genevrières. Opulent, thick, tactile wine with unexpected sucrosité as well as near-painful intensity to its citrus fruit, peach and floral flavors. Sharply delineated but with plenty of baby fat to buffer its underlying minerality. Colin told me he normally prefers his Genevrières in very warm vintages like 2015, but admits that this wine is surprisingly open today. Will it shut down in bottle? |

Burgundy | 1 | 86-89 (BH) | HK$2,485.00
Burghound (86-89)A notably ripe yet attractively fresh nose speaks of both red and dark berries along with soft earth nuances. There is fine volume to the relatively full-bodied flavors that possess a lovely mid-plate texture before concluding in a mildly rustic and warm finish. Still, this is really quite good and worth considering as a quality option for an all-around house red. |

Decanter (97)Voluptuous red fruits on the nose, velvety and seductive. A sleek attack, opulent and luxurious with striking depth and concentration of fruit. The firm tannins are balanced by fine acidity, and this has fabulous balance and remarkable length. It will live for decades. |

Wine Advocate (93)The 2015 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru is excellent, opening in the glass with notes of golden orchard fruit, spring flowers, orange zest and hazelnut cream, gently framed by new oak. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied with a glossy attack, superb concentration and an almost chewy sense of extract, its taut structural elements asserting themselves on the grippy finish. While this is marked by the warmth of the vintage it has the necessary energy and freshness to retain its balance. |

Burgundy | 1 | 92-95 (BH) | HK$17,865.00
Burghound (92-95)A wonderfully spicy, elegant and fresh nose blends notes of red and dark cherry with those of cassis, plum, violet and discreet earth nuances. The intense and tautly muscular middle weight plus flavors are even more refined if perhaps not quite as mineral-driven while delivering superb length on the balanced but markedly austere finish where a touch of cherry pit emerges. This is also very clearly built-to-age and I wouldn't dream of touching a bottle for at least 10 years and it should easily reward 20. |

Wine Advocate (92)The 2015 Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru Cuvée des Alouettes is deeper and more serious than the Cuvée des Grives, wafting from the glass with a lavish bouquet of ripe plum, cherry, cinnamon, licorice, rich soil and dark chocolate. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, sappy and powerful, with a deep core of sweet fruit that conceals an ample chassis of fine-grained, chalky tannin. |

We found the wines in 2015 very easy and forward to taste, with as much focus on freshness as concentration, so there wasn’t a complete break from the 2014s in that sense. The hope is that as the wines mature they will continue to show the balance and classicism they displayed from the barrel. Our expectation is that they will do so and the best wines will live for a very long time with a genuinely satisfying pattern of maturation throughout their life.
