Clear mid yellow. So much energy here too. An impressively racy quality with plenty of weight, very Charmes in character, strong fruit, and then a crunch of acidity. A little saline touch yet also some of the more exotic side. Drink from 2026-2033. Tasted: October 2022HK$5,180.00 -

No deeper in colour than its stable mates but broader in bouquet, offering a fleshy white fruit. The balance here is impeccable on the palate, with fine acidity behind that supports the generosity of fruit. A good example. Drink from 2030-2037. Tasted: October 2023.HK$2,270.00 -

What a wealth of fruit is there, plus a streak of nervous energy, this is very well done. Always late to pick here but it hasn’t disturbed the fresh energy while optimising the fruit volume. Very good indeed. Drink from 2030-2038. Tasted Oct 2024.HK$2,090 - HK$2,555

The 2018 Meursault Perrières 1er Cru clearly has the superior bouquet among the four Premier Crus tasted from Jadot’s Meursault range; there is more mineralité and greater terroir expression here. The palate is well balanced with a soft opening, touches of quince and marmalade dovetailing into a honeyed midpalate that just needs more tension and energy to show through. Starts well, this Perrières, but it has to give more on the finish.HK$5,585.00 -

A little more power to the nose ahead of its stablemates Charmes and Genevrières, indeed much more backward. The talent of Perrières is to have this enormous weight of fruit while delivering also a crystalline minerality. This has an impressively broad density of fruit behind, the detail not yet being expressed. Drink from 2032-2040. Tasted: October 2023.HK$2,610.00 -

Mid lemon yellow. Plenty of weight on the nose, stones to follow perhaps? Yes indeed, on the palate. A huge wealth here, balanced between the more luscious fruit which stops just short of white peaches, and the mineral energy. Long finish of course. Drink from 2031-2040. Tasted Oct 2024.HK$2,410 - HK$2,945

Pale in colour, the nose displaying a slight green hazelnut reduction which is not at all unpleasant. Indeed, it adds tension to the wine. There is impressive weight on the palate, some concentrated plum and greengage, good acidity. This still needs more elevage but shows promise. Drink from 2028-2035. Tasted: October 2023.HK$3,485.00 -

The 2023 Meursault Narvaux (Domaine Louis Jadot) is once again one of the highlights of the range, unwinding in the glass with notes of orange and lemon zest, toasted nuts, freshly baked bread and mint. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and racy, it's layered and mineral, with a long, penetrating finish.HK$10,096.59 -

The 2020 Meursault Les Genevrières 1er Cru is a step up in terms of precision and mineralité compared with the Meursault-Charmes. The palate is vibrant and well-balanced, quite tensile, touches of bitter lemon mixed with ginger and hazelnut, leading to a long and harmonious finish. This is recommended. The 2022 Pernand-Vergelesses Clos de la Croix de Pierre has more detail and terroir expression than the Combottes: well-defined with crushed stone and dried yellow flowers complementing the citrus fruit. The palate is well-balanced with a waxy texture. A dash of white pepper enlivens this Pernand, which fans out nicely on the finish. One of my picks from Jadot's whites this year.HK$1,750.00 -

5 Star Wine. Fresh mid lemon. A little bit of oak joins the fruit on the nose, and there is a floral element too. Then the palate offers the limestone pebble effect. A fine, interesting and complete Pernand, the best En Caradeux (the actual vineyard of Croix de Pierre) I have tasted from 2023. Drink from 2028-2032. Tasted Oct 2024.HK$1,435.00 -

The 2020 Puligny-Montrachet Les Combettes 1er Cru has a clean and precise bouquet with beautifully defined citrus fruit laced with crushed stone. The palate is well balanced with good depth and grip, slightly waxy in style, fine acidity with touches of tangerine and orange pith towards the finish. Thoroughly enjoyable, this should age well in bottle. Closure: DiamHK$5,910.00 -

Pale, bright yellow. White peach, menthol and white pepper on the nose, plus a touch of vanillin oak. A tight, subdued Folatières with penetrating rocky minerality; not a floral style. Very backward but has the tactile salty extract to age. Very concentrated and long on the aftertaste. The vines are in the top of the cru, barely 40 meters from Jadot's Chevalier-Montrachet Les Demoiselles, notes Barnier.HK$1,070.00 -

5 Star Wine. There will be no En la Richarde Folatières from Héritiers Louis Jadot this year, but this bottling is superb. A little more toastiness on the nose. This builds beautifully to the back of the palate, showing an excellent backbone with just the right elegance of minerality. Really good. Bravo Drink from 2026-2033. Tasted: October 2022HK$4,180.00 -

(5 Star Wine) Mid lemon yellow, with a concentrated bouquet that has less immediate charm than the Clos de la Garenne. However, there is significant weight on the palate, some yellow plums, while the acidity has an attractive mineral touch. My conclusion is that this Folatières is just very backward. Everything is there to make a great wine, and In the end the more exciting wine of two excellent Pulignys. Drink from 2032-2040. Tasted: October 2023.HK$6,995.00 -

The 2023 Puligny-Montrachet Les Folatières 1er Cru has a candied patisserie- and vanilla-scented bouquet that is very seductive if a little oaky at the moment, though that should be absorbed with time. The palate is well balanced with a marine influence on the entry. A very saline Les Folatières with much more persistence on the finish compared to the Clos de la Garenne, this is promising (and also one of the only whites from Jadot around 14% abv).HK$6,125.00 -

Buttered, oaky minerals can be detected in the nose of the medium-bodied 2001 Batard-Montrachet. A fleshy, concentrated wine, it delivers loads of pears, minerals, and apples in a satin-textured, expressive format. Projected maturity: now-2010.HK$22,710.00 -
