The old vines are in evidence as the mouthfeel of the medium-bodied flavors is markedly denser as the sappy extract coats the palate while buffering the moderately firm acid spine shaping the very dry, more complex and slightly long finale. This fruit appears to have been picked earlier than ideal owing to the hailstorm and its hint of bitterness will take time to knit. Finishes with a slightly phenolic dusty quality. It has a fresh bouquet that is beautifully defined, hints of jasmine and white flowers, crushed stone and peony developing with time. The palate is very well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, and slightly waxy in texture. A discreet grilled walnut note develops toward the finish.
