Burghound (90-93)(Outstanding) A cool, pure, airy and appealingly layered nose displays aromas of mostly acacia blossom and lemon-lime, along with a background hint of crushed fennel. There is excellent energy and a gorgeous texture to the medium weight flavors that flash plenty of minerality on the balanced, nicely dry and sneaky long finish that would also benefit from developing better depth. |

The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity and slithers of white peach mixed with nectarine. Quite a seductive and pretty La Folatières that embraces the warmth of the summer but maintains tension and mineralité. This is enticing and promising. To my palate, this is the finest Perrières that François Carillon has produced to date. |

This is quite satisfying and offers excellent value. |

Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy (92-93)(5-Star Wine) François is fortunate enough to have 5.85 hectares of Puligny-Montrachet from six plots. He is planning some parcellaire cuvées in 2023. We are back to finesse with this wine. The 2022 Puligny is beautifully aromatic, with all the floral character one could hope for. This has a brilliantly light touch despite the energy and the intensity. I think it is going to be a show stopper. Excellent natural acidity as well. Drink from 2026-2032. |

François also notes that there is more wind here on the St-Aubin side, especially in the morning. A considerable depth of yellow. This seems a little backward at this stage, chunky, but with a fine depth of fruit. Plenty of stones behind, a little smoky note, not quite in place but excellent potential Drink from 2027-2034. |
