Bunnahabhain
Known as the unpeated Islay Single Malt, Bunnahabhain (pron. BOO-nə-HAV-in) chooses to celebrate a different profile of their Island's heritage, sourcing the purest, peat free water from the swift running Margadale River which passes close by the distillery. The spirit is deliate and responds very well to both the sherry and bourbon barrels in which is it often extensively aged as well as the sea air in which it spends its maturation period. Known for its maritime quality and richness, look for notes of salted dark chocolate, burnt orange peel and warming spices. This is Islay as you may not have had it before; Islay as it simply doesn't exist elsewhere on the island.
