De Montille
Domaine de Montille in the Cote de Beaune was developed by Hubert de Montille in 1951. His family have aristocratic roots in the region’s land since the 17th century. Now run by his son, Etienne, they use traditional wine making techniques to produce pure elegant Burgundy that generally requires five years bottle ageing.

Vinous (90-92)
The 2021 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru contains one-third whole bunches and offers a floral bouquet with wilted rose petal, thyme and brambly red fruit, gaining intensity in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grain tannins and moderate depth that it doesn't quite kick on towards the finish. Not bad, but a little "contained".HK$7,165.00 -
Vinous (92-94)
The 2018 Vosne-Romanée Les Malconsorts 1er Cru contains two-thirds whole cluster and is matured in 50% new oak. It has a well-defined bouquet of raspberry, wild strawberry and pressed rose petal scents, plus just a hint of black truffle in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins. A gentle, lilting Les Malconsorts with a pliant, lightly spiced finish. Maybe other vintages have displayed a little more density on the finish, but this remains a lovely premier cru.HK$10,455.00 -
Vinous (94-96)
The 2020 Vosne-Romanée Les Malconsorts 1er Cru is two-thirds whole cluster. It has a well-defined, quite tertiary bouquet, the whole bunch quite expressive at the moment, imparting light black pepper and clove aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins. Good density here, grippy and quite concentrated towards the finish. Just a touch of black pepper emerges on the aftertaste. Serious and very complex. Closure: DiamHK$9,685.00
