Coveted among discerning oenophiles, Guy Roulot Meursault Vireuils Blanc 2018 is an exquisite white Burgundy, produced with expert craftsmanship in the heart of France's Côte de Beaune region. The estate's winemaker, Jean-Marc Roulot, upholds the vineyard's 80-year legacy through meticulous vine cultivation and a traditional, hands-off approach in the cellar. Hand-harvested Chardonnay grapes undergo gentle pressing and slow fermentation ensuring the eminence of the 2018 vintage.
Reflecting the layered minerality of the Vireuils parcel, this Meursault makes a striking impression on the palate. Its well-rounded acidity and enduring notes of citrus, green apple and brioche is reminiscent of the cool, sloping vineyards where it's birthed. Aged in French oak barrels for 18 months, it achieves a delicate balance, and reveals complexities that add nuance to its flavour profile.
In the arena of fine wines, the Guy Roulot Meursault Vireuils Blanc 2018 stands out, veritably embodying the mastery and terroir of its venerable maker.

Vinous (90)
The 2019 Meursault Les Vireuils has a pretty bouquet with orchard fruit, hints of apricot and just a touch of almond coming through with aeration. The palate is well balanced with an edgy opening, quite sharp at first, orange zest and a touch of tangerine. A citric finish just needs a little more length. This will develop with bottle age but I would afford it 3 to 4 years in the cellar.HK$21,455.00
