About Neudorf
Neudorf Vineyards was established by Tim and Judy Finn in 1978. Starting out as nothing more than a 120 year-old stable, the winery was painstakingly built by Tim and Judy, both of whom had no winemaking experience, to begin with. Persevering through numerous challenges and supported by a close-knit community, Neudorf Vineyards has come a long way and continues to evolve, thanks to Tim and Judy’s constant drive to make better wines. While still actively managed by Tim and Judy, their daughter, Rosie, is steadily being groomed to take over the helms.
The wines of Neudorf Vineyards have won critical acclaim and have been mentioned by numerous publications. The Neudorf Vineyards Moutere Chardonnay 1991 was reportedly served to Prince Charles when he visited New Zealand in 1993. More recently, Greg Sherwood MW reported that Neudorf Moutere Chardonnay 2014 was ranked amongst the top 5 favourite wines in a blind tasting that pit New World Chardonnays against some of the best Burgundies

James Suckling (97)This has such attractively fleshy red and dark cherry. Sweetly earthy. The oak is spicy and nicely placed among intense ripe and vibrant cherries. There’s plushness to the supple, fleshy palate. Smoothly rendered and juicy with rich dark cherry to close. The acidity is pitch perfect. Mouthwatering, delicious pinot. Drink or hold. |
