Olivier Leflaive
Found in the heart of the Burgundy wine growing region, family and friends gather for the two week manual harvest at the Leflaive winery. Renowned for their Puligny-Montrachet, the Domaine had origins date back to 1905 when Olivier Leflaive was able to buy his first 25 hectares.

Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy (93-95)Pale lemon and lime. This time the oak has a light coconut effect. There is notably more body to this compared to Clos St Marc, while the thread of citrus acidity retains an equal balance. The fruit includes some little yellow plums, and continues through to an extended finish. A keeper. |

Vinous (89)The 2015 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Vergers 1er Cru has a rich, almost decadent bouquet of billowing clementine, mango and vanilla aromas that are attractive but missing some definition. The palate is balanced, offering lime and orange zest and a pretty, slightly saline finish that lingers in the mouth; it lacks precision but there is satisfying length. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting. |

Vinous (91)The 2017 Chassagne-Montrachet Vergers Clos Saint-Marc 1er Cru has a significant struck-match aroma on the nose that obscures delineation and terroir expression, and it doesn’t get much better with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with a soft entry and lower acidity than its peers. Simple compared to others, and a little overworked toward the finish, but it does improve significantly in the glass. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting in Savigny-lès-Beaune. |

Vinous - Neal Martin (91)The 2022 Chassagne-Montrachet Clos Saint-Marc 1er Cru has a fragrant, quite beguiling bouquet of wild honey and peach skin, not afraid to convey the warmth of the season but retaining typicité. The palate is well balanced with a rounded texture, not as complex as the aromatics, with touches of tropical fruit mixed with camomile and chai. Nicely composed on the finish, this is ready to drink right now. Bottled under Diam 10. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting. |
