Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy (88-90)Nine plots all adjacent to appellation Meursault. Light lemon, a little ripe citrus, ripe apples too, and excellent length. This builds impressively to the back of the palate. No shortage of wine here, with firm acidity. Drink from 2026-2028. Tasted Nov 2024. |

Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy (92-95)Fine pale colour with green tints. This is restrained, complex, chiselled, precise, no wood apparent until well on, on the palate, with a white fruit concentration right at the back. Good acidity, some tannins too. A very well organised wine, one could say. |

The Remi Jobard Meursault Les Chevalieres 2021 is a veritable gem exuding a perfect blend of finesse and complexity. Grown in the fertile soils of Jobard's well-tended vineyards nestled in the traditional vine-growing town of Meursault, this wine is an exquisite rendition of the Burgundy Chardonnay varietal. Its production process is a testament to simple techniques coupled with respect for the environment. Under Jobard's adept stewardship, the grapes are manually harvested and undergo a rigorous selection process before they are gently pressed. The juice is then aged for up to 18 months in their cellars, a judicious blend of old and new French oak barrels, fostering a balance between fruit and oak nuances. Characterised by its golden hue, the Remi Jobard Meursault Les Chevalieres 2021 impresses the palate with its crisp acidity, intricate mineral tones and a richness of flavours, drawing to a finish that lingers languorously. This is arguably one of the vintages that showcase the virtuosity of Remi Jobard. |
