Terlano
Cantina Terlano was founded in 1893 in the Tyrolean region of the Alto Adige, where wine growing dates back to pre-Roman times. Today, they produce an entire range of modern classics that offer early-drinking pleasure to serious cellar-worthy ageing potential. Predominantly white wine focused, their Vorberg Pinot Bianco, Sauvignon Quarz and flagship Terlaner I Grande Cuvee (a blend of three core varietals; Pinot Bianco, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc) are applauded by critics worldwide. Beautifully-balanced, aromatic white wines that are at the top of their class, and compete with Burgundy's finest. Their longevity derives from the high mineral content of the terroir, the carefully managed low yielding old vines, their rigorous selection process, and use of the "sur lie" method, where the wines are left to age on the yeast before being bottled, which is what gives these exceptional wines their unique character and complexity.
